Car parts just dropped off with the owners wife, who actually does the dipping, which she's ran for years as a side to their bodyshop.
Process is as follows:
Level (prime) all parts, to a flat surface
Put on undercoat (This bit was the trickiest pick), I've picked a dark grey graphit colour, greys, blacks, etc can all change how the dips look, and therefore can make it look any colour you want as the 'film' the hydrodip uses is clear in certain parts (for the CF weave)
Apply applicator
Dip the parts in the film
Apply coats of laquer to get a gloss finish.
Bobs your uncle, fannies yer aunt you've got some Carbon Dipped parts !
