I am trying to identify this 4 hole? instrument bezel part number FR3Z-7804338-BH. The catalogue only identifies this panel as "Spindrift" in dark grey. Anybody familiar with this trim? Thanks.

I believe it is what we sometimes see called "machine turned" pattern design. It's usually associated with an upgraded interior. I've not heard of the term "Spindrift" before.

If you do a search, you'll see that "Spindrift" has 2 versions - Spindrift and Dark Spindrift.

-"Spindrift" Instrument Panel Trim was used on the Bullitt.
-Mach 1 currently uses "Dark Spindrift," which is essentially the same one the Bullitt used, but Ford applied a minor smoked sort of film/finish on it.

The GT with Performance Pack Level 1 and Level 2 use the version called "Engine Spun" and on 401A, up till 2019, IIRC it was called "Dark Engine Spun" - They also applied a slightly darker finish on this. They also referred to it as "Linked Graphite."

Now, for 2021 on the Ford site, there are new finishes for non-PP cars, and one of them is "Angled Brush Aluminum."

Thanks CMX! Do you know if any of the 3 vent hole dash panels had this spindrift (engine turned) applied to them? The reason I ask is that most Ford parts sites have this Spindrift panel FR3Z-7804338-BH listed at under $200. Pretty cheap if this part number is for the PP 2 gauge pack for adding gauges to non PP mustangs. I was looking for my 2019 EB premium.

Np - Yes, some 3 vent hole units had this Spindrift dash panel, because of Euro-spec Bullitt Mustangs.

Not sure why, but all PP-Spec cars exported out of North America do not have the PP gauges. In North America, all Bullitt cars had the PP by default, and had the gauges.

So, in Europe, no Bullitts had the gauges, so they had the 3 hole vent centers, and because of that, they had the 3 hole Spindrift Panel.

I think the real task is finding the correct part numbers for all these.

1. Euro RHD Bullitt - 3 Hole, No Gauges

2. Euro LHD Bullitt - 3 Hole, No gauges

Would you be able to give your Vin number to me or go to a ford parts online web site and plug it in for your PP2 mustang? Just want to make sure the part FR3Z-7804338-BH is the 4 hole application?

I tried my own VIN earlier, and the problem is because it's a Canadian VIN, the U.S. parts site doesn't recognize it.

You need to find a U.S. VIN to use the parts sites. I actually tried a U.S VIN that I had from before, but the the Parts sites don't seem to filter effectively, because all kinds of versions of this instrument panel come up in the results, including ones that should not be applicable, like Spindrift.

You can try and see what you find on your end: 1FA6P8CF3K5152614
That is for a 2019 GT PP2 w/301A.

I always ran into the same issue when trying to search by VIN. Yes it comes back with all the parts that could have come on that car, but doesn't ever seem to actually filter to the parts it did come with.

I ordered the part from Tasca. Gave them the Vin. If it's not right, I'll ship it back.

CMX,
For the vin number given, what was the description i.e. spindrift, engine turned, aluminum, etc. for the bezel on the GT PP2. Tasca parts got back to me and said the part number I gave them did not match the vin app? Thanks.

Correct - The VIN application would not have matched your part number, because again, "Spindrift" was not installed on any regular Mustang EcoBoost, GT, GTPP1, GTPP2. The VIN I gave you was for a 2019 GTPP2 301A, so you could see that Spindrift does not apply when talking to parts, which you now confirmed.

On TASCA, if you search their website with this VIN, you'll see the results under Parts > Body > Instrument Panel, and scroll to see the Instrument Panel variations. It will show numerous variations and in the description, will show either "Spindrift," Dark Aluminum, Carbon Fiber, or Aluminum - this is what I said in my earlier post, for those of us doing web searches (and not calling parts dept) that the website filtering is not accurate enough and is displaying all these IP variations, when not all apply.

The VIN I gave you will not match up to anything Spindrift-related, when an actual parts person runs the VIN. The Parts folks have a much better internal system that is close to 99% accurate, unlike these websites which can't be relied on 100% of the time, such as this case.

This exactly. The Parts sites are very accurate for most parts, but for other items like Interior and exterior trims, when Ford vehicles have a million packages and trims, it is not accurate enough.

OP - Somehow, what needs to happen is you need to find a Euro/Export LHD Bullitt, with the 3 hole Spindrift Panel, and somehow match the part number of that vehicle/the VIN off that vehicle, and this gives you what you're looking for.
