Collected my first Mustang last Saturday - second-hand 2016 GT Cabrio...

Spent a lot of time pondering colour options and by the time I'd decided that Deep Impact Blue with Ceramic trim was the ideal, I find that DIB is no loner available on new cars...

So...I've found the colour combo I want and avoided the long wait for a new one..:)

Apart from a couple of minor niggles I'm very pleased with it. I discover the 'pregnant pony' driver's side puddle lamp is a standard problem - booked in with dealer for attention - and my drivers side sun visor has come loose from the roof; otherwise so far, so good...:D

Welcome, and congratulations, looking like you got the car you wanted, without the wait :)!

Any mods planned?

It took you three minutes to ask about modifications from what I can see. That's a bit slack by your usual standards !

And of course welcome to M6G Antjam. Avoiding the wait does remove some of the pain for sure, but it something you should go through at least once to appreciate what sends people utterly nuts around here.

How much did you pay?

We all want to know if it is really true that we can still sell our cars at 98% original list price after allowing for price increases.
...Or even 99.5%
I paid £40k for it; a trade sale rather than private. It's ten months old, 6k miles, one previous owner; a GT convertible automatic with the custom pack.

Current list for the same spec (although with the upgraded Sync 3 instead of Sync 2) is £43,135.

Unfortunately even if I'd been prepared to wait (nine months to a year?) for a new car I'd still not have been able to get it in the colour I wanted - I don't like Lightning Blue and the other colours don't work for me.

I'm not sure what the new price of my car car would have been (pre price rise) - probably around £40k - so yes, If you find a guy like me who wants a specific spec or is not prepared to wait then you may well be able to sell your car for almost what you paid for it...:)

Yep, mine was £40,300, ordered March 2015, delivered March 2016. We're all happy! :)
