Had about an hour to devote to the build tonight. Passenger header is fully in place. Clearanced the O2 sensor plug to ensure it doesnt hit the starter or bellhousing. Ive also been playing around with this VHT wrinkle plus paint to try and black out some of the aluminum parts under the hood. I think it gives them a black plastic look which should appear more stock. Im toying with the idea of doing the intake tube the same way. Let me know what you think.

You building this for drag racing or track ? Personally I'd do the track route.
This will be primarily built for the street and some mild track use. We dont have a quarter mile close by BUT theres roll racing and 1/8th mile. Id love to go back to a 1/2 mile event and try and lay down some good mph.

I'm not sure the turbos will put much of a dent in the Gaptism I received but it will certainly help :)
I've seen the future, Bill.

On this episode of TruckandRoll, Bill takes his Mach 1 apart again to install a Ford Performance 9.5:1 aluminator short block and dials the boost up to 20 lbs. Can he take down the Lambo's at UMC? Stay tuned...

did you have to clearance the o2 block off or have they revised it to where it's not hitting the bellhousing? Also when bolting the turbo adapters to the headers I reused my factory nuts they're alot better quality than what the kit came with they will not gall on the studs

So I took your advice and ground the plug down before installing which seemed to help. I had at least 1/8” clearance and I believe it would have cleared even without grinding. It will be interesting to see if the heat from the collector right near the starter will cause issues down the road. Only time will tell.

I got the scavenge pump installed. One item which would have been nice would modified studs that have a raised section to prevent you from running them in too far. I used the bolts I removed for reference. Also without an allen or any sort of fitting on the end you wind up either running them in my hand or with pliers on the threads. Not a big deal but something to consider. I pulled the electric fans to give myselr more room and Im not sure how you could have gotten everything in without it.

I made a bit more progress today after running into a bit of an issue with a few of the pieces received from Hellion. After an email to Jeff with pictures and a call back from John at Hellion I have new up-pipes in the mail which should arrive by Thursday. This gave me a bit of time to install the ID1050s. Installing injectors on an S550 is super easy compared to other cars I have done. Hopefully tomorrow I can knock out the DW400 pump while I wait for the new parts to arrive.

Turbos are mocked up and set into place. I had to use a comical amount of 3/8” ratchet extensions to tighten the passenger side up pipe to the 4-1 header from the top. Hoping to knock out the rest of the oil system tomorrow and tighten these babies in for good. Also I put together a video on the fuel system upgrades I installed which will go live tomorrow morning on my channel. Check it out!

Some more updates. I had to hit stop as 3 of the silicone couplers were too short. The two which connect to the IC from the turbos were just barely long enough for the clamp to bite and it caused the BOV to hit on the passenger side at the trans cooler bracket. The drivers side was worse. I ordered 2 2.5” 90 degree elbows from Amazon which had longer legs. The connection at the top between the IC outlet and charge pipe to the throttle body is just plain too short out of the box. Ordered a longer reducing 90 and its expected to come on Tuesday. Finally I suspect since the Mach 1 has a larger TB the needed coupler size is unique (i.e. slightly bigger than 3.5”) which makes getting it on a chore. I wound up lubing it up and having to use pliers. It wasnt pretty or ideal but it is on. While i wait on some parts I got my GFB G Force 3 solenoid mounted (got to do some custom fabrication). I also modified my JLT catch cans to become catch cans/breathers which I think turned out nice. All that is left is one coupler and for me to wire the boost controller. Once I receive my startup tune file from Lund we should be good to rock and roll.

I called hellion about the tb coupler on my 350 and they ended up sending me a 3.5 to 3.75 coupler also I had the same problem with the 90s at the bottom of the intercooler and the top but mine was a 6 inch so idk if it made the problem worse being a thicker core I ended up using the top 90 and cutting the charge pipe to put a 45 in it so it would not be hitting the small hose that goes from driver side top radiator to the degas bottle
