It takes 5 minutes to remove the extractors from the hood. That way you don't damage anything.

Best if doing anything to them to take them off, it is pretty easy few cj pony vids about it.

I wrapped mine, with some extra vinyl i had from my roof. Getting an extra set painted, dad works for a body shop so i get a good price on painting. I'm unsure how long the wrap near the opening will last with heat, i didn't do a great job near it.

I think if I had a lighter color, it might be worth the effort. But with guard green, you'd have to be practically sitting on the hood to notice blacked out extractors.

If I was going to go that route, I'd just take them off and plastidip them as someone else mentioned. It lasts a good long while. I remember shooting the black trim on my 89 LX 5.0 notchback back in the day. Remember how the stock trim would just disintegrate in the sun?
