Indeed. I was pretty skeptical, but they were really easy to deal with. $4k for 2 years and 30k miles seems like a great deal to me. I miss having the car sometimes, but the replacement is faster and has the requisite 4 doors and usable back seat.
Best,
Granite pearlcoat. Too bad Ford doesn't really even have an entry for the 4 door muscle segment. Will miss the Mustang, but looking forward to 485 naturally aspirated HP. :)
If anyone local is looking for a bone stock GT for Grim to mod for them, hit me up. I'll be either selling or trading mine in a couple of weeks when my new ride shows up.
2015 Guard GT w/6sp manual (totally base with zero options)
30k miles
Replaced rubber @ 21k with Continental Extreme...
Thanks man. Will try that next time. Definitely easier than laying on the floor to get at the fuse panel.
Only have this car for another few weeks until my new ride arrives. This is the very first glitch since I've owned the car. It knows! :)
Best,
Out of nowhere, the SYNC system on my base GT just wouldn't power on. I had to hard power cycle it. Locate the fuses behind the kick panel on the front passenger side. Pull the cover off. Pull the 10A fuse in position 32. Wait 10-20 secs and replace the fuse. SYNC is back. I also did a...
As fate would have it, I need a usable rear seat a lot more than I expected...toddlers....car seats...you know the drill. Bouncing the GT in favor of a new 6.4L Charger that's on order. Hard to believe those things are faster than the GT, even with all that extra weight, but I'll take it. :)...
I've used Rotella T6 in every vehicle I've owned in the past 15 years or so. Mostly hotrodded turbo and twin-turbo Audis...I also ran it for 2 oil change cycles on my stock 2015 GT. I didn't notice any real difference over the Motorcraft 5W-20 semi-syn. The T6 isn't that much more expensive...
27-28mpg on the highway with 3.31 rear and 6sp manual. Around town with the occasional romp it's around 19-20mpg. It's a bone stock GT with slightly wider tires 255/45/18 vs stock 235/50/18.
It really depends on the driver. Dump the clutch at 5k often and you'll make short work of destroying it. Drive it like a sane person (not necessarily a granny), and it will last. I had an Audi A6 that was putting around 500hp to all 4 wheels through a 6sp manual. When I sold it at a bit...
I get this on occasion. If I tap the plastic panel with my finger a few times, it goes away for a few weeks before I'll hear it again. Hasn't annoyed me enough to delve into the cause/cure. :)
I started the feel a slight driveline vibration after 5-10k miles. It's a bit annoying on long...
They are passable as long as there's no snow or ice. I wasn't paying attention and got stuck at work with about 1/2" of snow on the roads here in the DC area. The Pirellis with about 15k miles on them were barely adequate on the highway driving like a granny and I almost got stuck in a couple...
I also live in the DC area. Neither of those choices is going to be particularly useful in anything more substantial than a light a dusting. However, a good set of all season tires should be the better of the two in a pinch. I've had pretty good luck with Continental Extreme Contact DSW06...
Worth relatively little to me. I was going to put new rubber on mine prior to upgrading to Boss302S rims and then archive the old ones in case I sell the car.
2 of the 4 factory GT rims were bent from the factory. You can visibly see them wobble on a balancer with no rubber on them...
