Every 373 owner I know HATES the gearing. At Autox's they have to shift into 3rd, I dont, at hpdes they are pegging redline and running hot, I'm not. You want longer gearing for hpde so you can just stay in 3rd and 4th gear (for most tracks)

Im so sorry but what is so difficult about flashing your car? If you are changing your gears you probably have other mods so your warranty is trashed anyway so you might as well get a proper tune and ANY tuner can update the gearing.
It's obvious you don't understand what's going on here so I'll help educate you. Gear changes are not made through the PCM but rather the BCM now. So no you're wrong when you say any tuner can make the change. These changes came about with the 2015 models.

In the time that it took you to type out your original post in this thread, you could have flashed your BCM using the ForScan software. It literally takes 2 minutes. Getting the SW loaded on your laptop and the $20 OBDII flash tool in your hands about takes 48 hours. Seriously.....

The speedometer isn't the issue, the BCM doesn't correlate with the new gear data output, making the car think it's spinning the clutch putting it in limp mode, no high reving, car just doesn't act right at all. I think most of this is right. All I know is I went from 3.31 to 3.73 gears and until my flare tool gets here, the car runs like crap, limp mode is a great name for it. I should be burning through gears and reving to and past redline in every gear but nope. Limp noodle, sitting in the garage.
Gotcha.
On one of my race tunes on the KB car with the most timing the car was not happy with all the torque .The PCM started doing some funky things with the fuel.

Car has 3.31 but I had 29 inch drag radials on the dyno effectively changing the ratio .
Lund suggested using the whipple flash tool to flash the BCM to account for this change may correct the issues .I am not getting the isssue with other tunes with less timing down low(and less torque) .
I thought I would wait to see if the issue is resolved by using a shorter tire which I will running at be strip (28 or 27 inch) before trying the tool (or I may just keep running the other tunes ).

Wish I would have. Whipple Flare tool is on its way but I will also try the suggested as built tool as well and see what I can do. Play around and experiment. Thank you to everyone for your help and suggestions. Forgive my lack of knowledge but that's why we post, to learn and teach.

EXACTLY!

I have heard of guys just starting to flash the ACM in our cars to get rid of all the processing in our factory stereos, so we can get a clean start for aftermarket amps etc. just don't know much about it.

And that's why I try to figure things out and ask others to join in, collect data, share and we will all benefit.

Thank you.
