I'm about to order this and have a few questions.

1) Are they sold in pairs? I can't find that information on the website, but maybe I'm just stupid.

2) Are the tinted versions still available instead of the full blackout version?

3) What do they look like straight on, that is, does the amber light leak forward if you just get the amber tint?

Thanks
The amber there is only a reflector, not a light.

these are worth every penny. however, i got my lights cut open to install the RGBW led boards from diode dyanamics so im just painting the reflector inside black now! don't hesistate to get these and get the full black version if you want the amber gone.

How hard were the RGBW lights to install? Do you have any pics/videos of them in?

Baked at 150F for 15 minutes to open?

Anything abnormally difficult when separating the lenses or putting back together? Are you scraping out the old sealant and applying new, or just adding on top of old stuff with black adhesive?

Sorry for all the questions, have just been toying with the idea of this myself..

I guess I'm too old. You guys do realize you're covering up the federally required side reflectors. If you ever get T-boned at night by another driver their lawyer could use this against you.... Don't give me wrong I like the look but I would rather have the safety aspect of the reflector myself.

I've checked and unless you can show me otherwise, state rules come in to play here and most say that If a light or reflector is present, it must be Amber. Not that there must be one present.

If that little amber reflector is the difference between someone seeing me and not, I think I'm pretty well screwed anyway. :)

I swore I wouldn't buy car parts until after the wedding next year but these don't count as parts right?

Jason is that 0% black vinyl or will you see the reflector if a headlight hits it?

Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards require side reflectors. And Federal law trumps State law when it comes to vehicle safety standards. States can require even more stringent rules, but they cannot relax beyond the Federal rules.

For a car, you have to have side reflectors, amber in the front and red in the rear. And you have to have lights as well - amber in the front, red in the rear.

Likewise, headlights beyond 6000K could be classified as blue and thus illegal. Don't run headlights, fog lights, or LEDs that are hotter than 6000K or you give the police a perfect reason to pull you over and ticket you - and there's really not a lot you can do...
