TSP headers are made in China and I'll bet they aren't only making those headers for just TSP. I chose MBRP since they were made in Canada and had a warranty and they were made to fit my catback.

I need to change occupations $700-800 is a lot. I can do headers in about 3 hours with a helper, a lift and air tools on a S-197 and the S-550 has no K member in the way so it should be even easier.
I'm doing my headers Friday evening starting after work at 5:00. I'll be done by 7:30 I bet.
Keep us updated.

after being at mustang week... i can confirm that at least with corsa... headers make a difference in sound quality... stainless works with corsa sounds radically different, especially at idle or very low rpms compared to arh with corsa.

I mean it was more than an obvious difference. Major League Infidel was definitely right about the tinging sound with sw over arh...

not sure how obx or those tsp headers would effect sound or how the quality actually matches up with arh and kooks. the quality difference with arh and kooks is hugggge though over sp/sw after seeing them all last week in both welds and lazer cutting. As much as I want to save money, I'm going arh whenever I get around to it for sure after mustang week.
Yea buddy!

Its arh for me... I am just looking for a great price.
Shoot Jay or I a PM and we can set you up for sure :headbang:

I for one am GLAD that Texas Speed finally heard our cries and is getting into to Coyote market.

Ya'll keep paying $1500 or whatever for polished stainless longtubes.

I'll just be over here paying a third of that for my polished stainless longtubes.
Did you get them yet?

Same here with my OBX headers ($620 shipped) which look almost identical to the Texas Speed headers and also stainless works as well. Polished 304 stainless 1 7/8" with 3.5" collectors and bullet resonators on the mid pipes designed to look like cats.
Updates? Did you get them?

Confirmed, they are the same as the OBX, except on the mounting flange to the head they have a little cutout in the shape of Texas.

While they dont look bad by any means they sure dont look like top shelf high quality either. It stood out right away that they are budget headers. However i suppose what matters is that you're happy.

I must say i do like the faux cats idea. Thats neat for people worried about the visual inspections.

having put headers on every single car I've owned except for beaters, I've learned that headers are headers, and once they're installed I'll never give a shit how they look, especially when they get that patina that stainless does after some heat cycling

Unfortunately headers are not just headers. There is lots of misinformation in that statement. I understand not caring if they are visually pretty from being polished. That wasn't what i was reffering to about them being budget though. I was referring to the welds and material used. They dont have to be polished to be high quality material. I personally dont care for shiny headers myself. I get all my headers coated at CCP Coatings for long tubes or turbo manifolds.

Like i said though what matters is if youre happy with the company you invested your money in.

I cant in good faith agree with anything in this post.
