I just jacked up the car and slid under there. It looks like there is way more room on the s550 vs the '11-14GT cars. The starter and motor mount bolts look easily accessible. I'd just do cat deletes if Ford hadn't welded the freakin cat to the exhaust manifold.

A shop could do this way easier right? I just bought my headers and plan on having custom exhaust shop do the install where my dad lives in Cali.
Not sure about way easier. They are apparently a pain. Not being on your back will help, I'm sure. If they have never done them before, there will likely be a learning curve. 6-8 hours seems to be the norm.

It's easier for you to take them to a shop, but the install isn't much easier for them. And you're gonna pay a pretty penny for that labor.

If you want to be suicidal, do long tubes in your garage on jack stands BY YOURSELF on an 11-14GT. Been there, done that plenty times, and got the scars to show it. Lol.

Shit, glad my dad offered to pay for the install for my birthday hahaha.

Also, no I am not some teenager and no my dad didn't buy my car. Just a car enthusiast and motor head like me, and is taking care of my car while I'm deployed.

I will never do it again, one of the worst automotive jobs I have ever done.

I did mine on ramps ....You need lots of good ratchet wrenches ..Band aids for the cuts you are going to get ... I have done worst installs but these are not easy by any means .. I just traded my car in for a auto car and the dealer is removing my headers for me as part of the deal ...I don't think I'm going to waste my time and install them on my new car ..I may just sell them ..
