header install question

Putting my car back to stock and I’m doing the drive shaft,axles,catback and headers today. Does the steering wheel need to be locked to detach the arm? Thanks

No, just mark the orientation of the shaft on both ends. Put it back on lining up the marks and you will be fine. I wouldn't turn the steering wheel or wheels while its off though (you certainly don't need to).

For the record...I found out for anybody that’s looking for pointers on a header install...pull your seatbelt all the way out, wrap it thru your steering wheel, and buckle it back up. That will keep the wheel from moving (thanks Brian at finishline) and the bolt that everybody has trouble with on the front passenger side..(the front 2 for me) are seriously a huge PITA. I ended up taking an old deep well socket and cutting some of it off to shorten it up and using a swivel and long extension and I put it on from the top and my buddy loosened it from the bottom. Took a couple minutes to do once we figured it out. Maybe somebody can get some use out of this post
