I need some help. Today I got my 2M long tube, catless headers installed. I have an MBRP Street system with an X pipe. It sounds terrible!!! Very raspy and tinny. I was hoping the headers would give it a deep sound but not the case. Any ideas or recommendations? TIA!

Just get a H pipe install to get that deep muscle tone.
I misspoke, I have an H-pipe. The system I have is an MBRP cat back. I may go with something like a Magnaflow Competion or Borla to try to get deeper tones.

I agree just swap out the exhaust system. unless you plan on installing a mid muffler.

By the time I add a mid muffler, I can buy a different system. I don’t want to mess with cutting and adding. Easier to remove the old and add new.

If it's too loud and raspy you'll want a mid muffler system, one that has a muffler in the middle like factory and then 2 in the back. No other way to really eliminate rasp unless you add cats back on.

Do you think I will has the same issue if I go with a Magnaflow Competition system? The loudness is okay, it’s the high pitch metal clanging sound.

I'd get a mid muffler sytem to eliminate all the rasp and drone, the magnaflow comp system is extremely loud with catless headers.

You need some type of resonator (think oem system) or mid muffler between your headers and axle back in order to tame it down. It is your mid pipe (x/h) and muffler selection that determines overall sound volume/quality not the headers.

Open catless oem headers and open long tubes will sound about the same. Very loud.

Catless or catted headers will most likely require tuning to remove check engine lights.

I have a Steeda tune. Loaded it yesterday and was good but maybe shutting off the car yesterday caused a CEL today. I sent Steeda an email. Maybe they have to shut off that O2. I still have the OEM exhaust. I may put that on and see how that works.
