I’ve been staring at this page for over two months. No Ford emails. Called the marketing number today, no estimated build date. I don’t understand how emails get build dates, but calling doesn’t. Whatever. lalalala. Waiting. Try again next Friday.

You should reach out to your dealership and tell them to add your email address in there.

This is the response I got after after I asked the dealer to call ford marketing after Ford marketing told me the dealer needs to do it.

See what I’m dealing with here? I fully expected it to take at least 3 months. Its been 2. Not insanely pissed just yet. An update every once in a while would be nice though.

In my experience the Ford marketing number was not all that helpful. They were friendly but they either didn’t know much or did not have access to anything of significance. Try calling the Ford performance number. I don’t remember it at the moment but I’ve seen @hbash post it a few times

yeah, well they do spend more time verifying who you are than verifying any questions you have, but I thought, golly, it can’t be too hard to give me a date if you have the order pulled up on your special secret computer screen.

So as a grizzled veteran of this whole shit show let me clue you all in:

Ford Customer Service is useless. Last time I called a guy with a barely understandable broken English accent said hello my name is Raymond, how can I help you. And proceeded to tell me that Ford Marketing are the only people that can view order status.

Ford Marketing are a bunch of kind souls who can tell you when their system shows your order is currently scheduled to be built, but anything beyond that is "you'll have to talk to your dealer, they know much more than we do."

Ford Performance seem to be guys like us who can also look up your current build date and order priority code but also have to end every call with "you'll have to talk to your dealer".

And the dealers may or may not be helpful, depending on who you get.

Apparently your only hope is that your dealer has the interest and motivation to talk to their regional scheduling manager, who can actually contact the plant and find out where your car really is. There's no doubt my dealer wants me to cancel so he can get my car in another 3-12 months and sell it for $15K more than he's agreed to sell it to me for.

Found a handling package car for sale at $2,700 under MSRP if anyone is tired of waiting for their order... if it didn't have Recaros I'd be all over this.

My husband and I are waiting on a Mach 1 and I come on here everyday to check up on everyone's order status because it is driving me nuts having our production date pushed farther in the future! Ordered on April 10 FJG manual, HP, Elite package, 700A pretty much everything but the recaro seats. VIN a couple days after we ordered but latest email says August 23rd production date now. Original was July 5.

I called this morning on the above mustang because we were thinking cancel the order but it was already sold.

Really want this car before it gets nasty up here in Seattle!

This is old news. Article states Ford plants WILL be shut down in May and June.
