My ‘17 GT was originally a Canada car and presumably imported over to the stateside before I bought it two years ago.

The biggest differences between mine and the regular cluster (top/bottom respectively) is the speedo and the faces having a rougher texture.

I’m wondering if these were just a cheap aftermarket set to bring them up to US standards? Or do all Canadian pre-2018 GTs have this too? Does anyone have this cluster in general?

Interesting...That looks very generic GM quality. Yours is also missing the outer circular edging around the numbers. I'm sure you could grab a different cluster and swap it - there's probably some cluster swap thread around here somewhere. Unsure if the mileage needs to be programmed in it or not. You could also probably just swap the gauge faces.

It's hard to tell the details of the other cluster in your post, but for anyone perusing, this is what he's referencing as the US cluster:

Not a 2017, but 2018 and I don't think there is a difference between those years on US clusters. But there is a difference between the speedo cluster for Canada and the US.
US cars get a 7500rpm redline. Canadian cars say 7000rpm. No difference in the engines. The theory is that Canadian markets got left over ecoboost RPM gauges. Or Canadians should drive more conservatively. Texture wise, I have no idea. Maybe it's Canada vs US differences again.

The idea behind pre/post lifting rev meter issue for CADM is that in Canada you can have kph. With the Rev limiter turned up for 7,500 after lift basically all of the non USDM Stangs got Digi cluster as default.
So most probably Ford went cheap way for Canada and left the pre face-lift cluster for the base Stang without 401A🤔🙃
