Handling Pack spoiler

I currently have a non HP Mach 1. I'm interested in adding the HP spoiler. Everything I see online shows the spoiler in gloss black. Can someone tell me if the factory Mach 1 HP spoiler is gloss black or that gray metallic finish that is on the side mirrors and non HP spoiler. All the sites selling it are gloss black and I don't remember how the HP car came from the factory. Thanks

It is Magnetic Metallic (J7) in a satin finish. Ford/Ford Performance only sells the gloss black. You would’ve had to buy an HP car to get the Magnetic color on the spoiler, mirrors, etc.

Find a good shop to paint it for you. It’s otherwise the exact same spoiler

I have the gloss black on my car and it looks fantastic with the Eruption Green. Don’t worry about that crap. The only other thing that is that color are the mirrors and it doesn’t matter.

It indeed is Satin Magnetic Metallic. I agonized whether to paint mine (I bought my car with a black one added on afterward on my Non HP Car), but rather than the grey I had mine body color matched... Turned out pretty good, and it is Different

OP, looks like your car is Iconic Silver. Just a personal opinion, but I think the gloss black would be a better contrasting color than Magnetic on your car. Just my personal opinion though, FWIW.

I have the gloss black on my car and it looks fantastic with the Eruption Green. Don’t worry about that crap. The only other thing that is that color are the mirrors and it doesn’t matter.

Perhaps it’s different on US market cars but on mine the front bumper intake grilles around/under the turn signals are also painted magnetic to match the mirror caps and spoiler or wing, depending on which version you have.

Not sure if that makes a difference to you but it did to me as I think having the magnetic paint on the front/sides/rear of the car ties together really well!

I had my rear wing painted to match the factory HP standard and I’m really happy with it, but the gloss black could work well with the trunk panel directly beneath it too…

The Magnetic Metallic is also used in the upper grill surround and oil cooler intakes. That white body colored wing looks great. It's all subjective so go with whatever you like.

Thank you all for the replies. Honestly both gloss black or Magnetic Metallic would look fantastic just wanting to keep the look as close to stock as possible though that body color look is very intriguing.

Hey Alex. Now that I’m in Florida I’m looking to put the gurney flap on which it looks like you have on yours. I’m just curious about this sticker that’s on the back of mine that looks like it says don’t put this screw in if you’re driving on the street but put it in if you’re racing. I’m just thinking I’m gonna put it in anyways regardless cause I’m gonna possibly do both. I’m just more doing it to see if it looks good to me as I know some don’t like it. Did you put all four screws in yours?

Yes, the gurney flap comes with 4 screws and they are just a tad bit longer than the ones that are there otherwise. Be careful, if you take the flap off and put the longer screws back in the holes they can go thru on the other side... But yes, I run my gurney flap full time, it robs me a bit of MPG but I don't drive this car for MPG, I drive it for Smiles per Gallon .

Basically that graphic says don't run the gurney flap on the street, only on the track.... PFFT... Yeah right, Eff that

Just peel the sticker off, attach the gurney flap and send it!
