Greetings,

I have a 2022 Mustang GT Premium with a manual transmission. I just installed the FP Track shocks & struts and Steeda min drop linear springs. In lieu of installing the FP upgraded bushings for the rear toe links, I went with the BMR adjustable rear toe links. I also installed the BMR Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit too.

My Mustang's handling is amazing, but I am getting some clunking noise from the rear end. I am pretty sure its the BMR rear toe links. I am considering going back to my stock Ford rear toe links and installing the upgraded toe link bushings.

My question is; will the Ford toe links perform as well as the BMR toe links? Should I just live with a bit of occasional noise and be happy with the performance? I am willing to live with a bit of noise for performance, but if the Ford toe links are just as good, why not swap them out. Please advise as I am sitting on the fence on this one.

Thanks.....................

I don't see how that was a useful mod... The bushing is what matters. Unless I misunderstand what you're describing.

RU sure you installed the rubbers on the end of steeda springs? They've been known to "forget" to include them in the package. Or at least not adequately emphasize their vital role.

Make sure the endlinks on the swaybar are real tight. Its one of the most common clunking. No guarantees as you’ve changed a host of parts but they should usually be the first thing to check when the rear is disassembled/reassembled and you have clunks.

If I was a betting man, I'd bet it is the BMR Toe Links. I had issues with their Camber Arms and the heim joints going bad and making ALOT of EMBARRASSING noise, twice. Finally ditched them and haven't had an issue since.

I had clunking with all the rear lockout and steel cradle bushings. I have just about all the BMR stuff but as soon as I took the steel bushings out and went back to OEM rubber I was happy. No noise and wasn't so harsh.. I get why people go with steel but for a street car on date night, horrible.

Upgraded FP bushing is actually a spherical bearing and it is the one in the knuckle, not toe link. (which is sort of pain in the ass to replace) I think that PP toe links already have spherical bearing in the link so the only thing your toe link accomplishes is the adjustability - which in OEM one isn't that bad.
