Had and H pipe installed today

I have a 17 California Special and the only mod I've done so far were a pair of Magnaflow street mufflers shortly after buying it (and removing the sound tube Saturday). Today I decided to take it back to the muffler shop and have them fabricate an H pipe. I'm shocked at how much better the exhaust sounds now. It has a really deep sound, even at WOT throttle it really doesn't have any rasp to speak of. Now I've got the bug and want a tune. Anyway here's a picture of the new mod.

Congrats, I heard the major difference between H and X was the H had less rasp. I bought the X for the supposedly slightly better flow, we'll see after I install it.

Wanting the deeper rumble is why I went H over X.

I’ve got Steeda on mine and if that one doesn’t marry up to the Borla Atak when I get them I’m going to have a custom H made for it.

AED is a solid choice. Working with Shaun is a great experience. Detail oriented and the guy really knows this platform inside and out.

They are less restrictive but are primarily for weight reduction and sound.

The weight reduction is minimal but I think the sound improvement is great with an H pipe if you like deep and throaty with no drone or rasp.

Any chance on getting a sound clip? I have a Steeda H-Pipe waiting to go on and I am curious as to how it sounds.

the sound clips just never seem to sound right as recorded from a phone and then played on a PC...I'll see what I can do to help you out.

Also, the OCD in me noticed their mufflers were not installed level. Passenger side seems to be lower than drivers side. I couldn't drive my car like that ;)
