Interesting comparison with the pictures right next to each other.
The gas filler cap jumped out at me.
Way better location on the Mustang.
It might be tough to keep from dripping gasoline on the paint on the Aston Martin.
To even things out, I prefer the spoiler look on the Aston Martin.

While it does look good on the Vantage, it just didn't have the same Impact when I saw it on the Eco-Boost Coupe I saw in Brandon.
its a different quality ;)
i gave a bit more contrast and it looks like this..

:headbang: i dont think ive loved a color on a car this much since the championship white on my ITR. Still need to get my lazy butt out to look at a fusion in person though

Was at my local Ford dealer yesterday looking for a vehicle in Magnetic to see what it looks like with my own eyes. They didn't have any but they did have a 2015 Fusion in Guard. This color is definitely not for me but I took a bunch of pics with my iPhone 5 for those who may be considering this color.

holy flake! is that a Fusion or a Bass Boat?

kidding aside, that's what will make this color look nice in person, that paint looks a mile and a half deep with the sun on it. Wish we had some '15 Fusions coming in..

Does anyone have an idea of how Guard compares to the 2008 DHG (Dark Highland Green)?

I have to say, you really need to see this color in person. I know some people have and still love it, but I was not in that boat. Not trying to come off as a hater, but I would really like to stress that this is one you really need to see with your own eyes. any dealer should be able to tell you where the nearest guard fusion is and in my opinion its worth the drive before putting $30k towards a car you'll have for years.

Al, welcome to the few, the proud, the guard! If you go back through this thread you will get a pretty good idea what this color is like. In some pictures it looks like a bright green, this is NOT what it looks like. Great car choice by the way; EB, PP, Guard...nice:thumbsup:

When I took those pictures I posted above, in person I was completely underwhelmed by this color. From even a small distance it just appears like a very dark gray, almost black. Sure when the sun was directly hitting it, it looked almost like an emerald green which was pretty nice. But step back a few feet and it's back to a very dark boring color IMO. I don't think someone who saw you rolling down the street in another car would say "nice green on that Mustang". More likely they would say, "what color is that Mustang?". It's not that it's not a nice green, because it is. But it really only pops in direct sunlight.

Disclaimer: all the previous were my opinions. I fully respect anyone that likes this color. I'm just not in that camp.

I don't understand offering both Magnetic and Guard as they are both so similar. I wish Guard was a more overt green and Magnetic the stand alone darker grey shade in the Mustang color palette.

It would be nice if they changed up at least some of the colors each model year to add interest and appeal.
