So I figured I would go see what Guard looked like in person. The Fusion in Guard is parked next to Sterling Grey CMax for reference. I do believe many Magnetic Mustang pictures on this forum are actually Guard. I posted a closeup of a Super Duty in Magnetic. There is no mistaking Magnetic for Guard. Magnetic pops big time, very dark grey, no color shift like Guard. Magnetic is darker/deeper than Sterling Grey. Sterling Gray is more silver (lighter) than Magnetic. Magnetic in person will never be mistaken for Guard.

I ordered a Guard Metallic Mustang on 5-24 and I am very happy I did. This color does not pop, it's extremely subtle. It looks grey, black, sometimes green, and a hint of blue hues. This car was sitting out in a field and was dirty. Guard does not show dirt (very happy about that). Guard is a color that you either love or hate. I love this color, it will be confused with black and grey quite a bit, good if people drop a dime on you in traffic ;) It is very close to the color portrayed in Bullet, a faded/flat color. Exactly what I wanted.

Partly Sunny/Overcast

UGH! I just e-mailed my dealer to see if I could switch from Guard to Magnetic! I absolutely need to see Guard in person to assure myself. I am fully convinced that pictures don't give you an accurate sense of this color. I'd easily go with Magnetic but for the fact that half of the cars on the road are some form of gray/silver...what to do?

That's exactly why I searched local dealer inventory to see who had new Cars on the lots with both colors. The Magnetic is not the old Sterling Grey, completely different color, a very substantial metallic flake in it. Guard has a very small flake in it. If you want your car to stand out go with Magnetic. If you want to be stealthy go with Guard.

put it this way, if you wanted to go under cover and sit outside someplace and not be noticed, Guard. Magnetic is like a search light that shouts from the rooftop LOOK AT ME!

Guard Looks Nothing Like Dark Highland Green. It's Lighter and Much More Gray looking in person.

Yea I've been looking but no Guard in my area. I was going with Guard for two reasons, low key(stealthy) and wanted to be a bit different from the rest of the heard. PLUS, my dealer just e-mailed me back that a change in my order at this point would more than likely delay delivery. SO...love it, hate it, I'm gonna live with it, GUARD:headbang:

TampaBear67 Please open all three, I said it does not look like the color enhanced Bullet picture and more like the natural lit movie screen shots. So we agree LOL.

Have you seen Magnetic? I love the color, I was a Sterling Grey guy but like you said grey seems to have gained a lot of momentum lately. The Magnetic Super Duty I looked at looked awesome, you notice it. It really pops with chrome.

Yea I've seen it in person...love the color! My current car is silver and maybe I'm hyper sensitive but I see millions of silver cars everywhere. I'm just burnt out on silver/gray.

Pics I snapped on an iPhone. The others were taken with a real DSLR except I have no idea how to use it.

I haven't seen it in person but I am thinking it looks a lot more like this in reality? Maybe even a shade lighter?
