There is no doubt you will have to keep this color clean to be looking it's best. But being as I usually hand wash my car twice a week this should be no problem. Still waiting to order my 2015 Ragtop.

So today, I was on my way home from art school today and this car caught my eye, I got off at the next stop and circled back. It was a 2015 Ford Mustang Pre-Production Prototype. I chatted up the guys loading it on the trailer, and they said the color is Guard and it has a 4cyl ecoboost that makes 300hp, I had previously thought that the HP range of that engine was undisclosed (but it may have been the V8 I was thinking about). The guy also said that ford has dropped their contract with shelby (no, there wont be another boss, I asked), in lieu of that he said their gonna bring back the mach-1 (hopefully). The mustang was there because the 2014 Denver International Auto Show starts wednesday (I might be going and take pix to post on oppo).

I've read enough of Tampabear's posts to know he loves the new design. Thankfully we don't get the "looks like a Fusion" BS on here that I see on a lot of other sites.

and I agree with zerot above...Guard looks best in the sun. Comes off a little less impressive (too dark) in the shade.

Yep- GTsquid is right about TB67's sarcasm. Personally, I drive a '14 Fusion and I do think the headlamps look similar but I can't think of anything else, aside from an interior piece or two. Oh, and that damn annoying door chime...

Guard is in my top 3 most anticipated colours. However, the more images I see, the more it reminds me of the Holden (GM) Prussian steel grey used on the new Australian Commodore... I have seen these cars a lot on the road recently and it's a little uninspiring.... I'm hoping it has more impact on a Mustang so I'm staying positive

Agreed, one of my favorite colors.. Definitely darker/better on the Mustang
