1)This is not a Bullitt. 2)This car is not green enough imo. 3)In general I found the past incarnations of the Bullitt to be too understated and not powerful enough bump. If Ford were to make another Bullitt I'd be in favor of more separation in looks over the GT and a bit more of a power bump than 5 or 10 hp.
What are other's thoughts on this article/car and or a future potential Bullitt?
#1 and 2 are basic and I would add even without the other obvious signs, the fact that this is the first model year guarantees it would not be a Bullitt. Not only do they not need to bring the specials out yet but you don't offer those delete options on the first year. They want to show them off, not hide them.
#3 I disagree with you. Understated cool was the whole point of the Bullitt and personified in Steve McQueen/Frank Bullitt. It's a detectives car, actually I've heard it described as a stealth fighter which sounds cooler. It also wasn't so much about creating a new variant like a Mach 1 or the like so the performance enhancements should stay in the mild power bump + some suspension, brakes, wheels upgrades taken from the higher performance variants. Something that a regular GT shopper looking to spend an extra ~$4-5k in upgrades could afford. If you want more, you buy a Mach 1, GT350, etc.
