If you still have the original lights could you do me a favor and take a picture of the part number so I can compare with the 15-17 part number. I plant to change the LED boards and wanted to know which version is in there the 15-17 or the 18+ or are they completely different. Thanks.
This is the Engineering number off of the headlights and yes they are 15-17 parts.

Sorry, I am not on this forum every day. Yes, like protraxduner said, these are Morimoto LED headlights and they are plug and play. I like the LED headlamps as they are full brightness right away opposed to HID lights and I feel the light output is similar. I only drove my car once at night (only on the way home from the dealer) before I changed them so really cannot compare them.
Do you have an opinion on the Morimoto vs Raxiom headlights? The appear to be almost identical other than Raxiom are slightly smoked and claim to be brighter and whiter?

Also is the front clip rather easy to remove? I assume similar to doing a regular s550 front bumper removal for replacing headlights?

thanks

I believe I read in Marks original post that he swapped the headlights from the wheel wells, not by taking off the bumper cover.

Taking the bumper off is almost exactly as taking it off on all other S550s. The hidden fender bolt (2 per side now) seem easier to get at than the previous cars. All other hardware is the same, assuming your car also had a belly pan. If you leave the belly pan and splitter attached to the fender cover, it all comes off in one piece.
