Now that we know the GT500 will be unveiled at the Detroit show for MY2019(?), when is the best time to get an early allocation? I have never done it.

Seems likely! Any word on if there’ll also be a KR?I was told its going to be 2020 but I was told something else quite interesting.
Their would be an R edition
Has anyone else heard this?
I’d think the R would be the NA GT350Seems likely! Any word on if there’ll also be a KR?
But it won’t. Everything seems to point out that it will be GT500 and GT500R and that’s it.I’d think the R would be the NA GT350
And the KR would be the top of the line FI GT500.
It’s time the KR was a thing again.
I don’t see the same things you say you see.But it won’t. Everything seems to point out that it will be GT500 and GT500R and that’s it.
But we need to see what Ford is doing. With the new GT500 they are following the same path they did with the GT350 with it being a “track focused” car, Ford is playing the same game than Chevy with the ZL1 and ZL1 1LE.I don’t see the same things you say you see.
The GT350 R model is cool. Kinda like the NA 5.4 Cobra R in 2000.
But the KR is the 500s thing. It has a better meaning. And KR looks better on a badge.
We will see what moniker wins out.
I just hope (assume) the R variant can be optioned with a happy medium not just purely a Gutted track car. Any idea if the new 350 spoiler will be on or available on the 500?There won’t be any “GT500KR” unless is aftermarket; Ford is not going to release it so deal with it.

Which is what I’m afraid of. I have zero connections so that means to get the R trim it’s probably going to be north of 100k.I'm guessing the GT500R model will be sold similar to the GT350 and 350R, where production is around 1:10 ratio for the R.
Its a wait and see...
