I have a 2016 GT350 TP
I have some suspension parts I'm going to be upgrading soon, and I also ordered a set of 4 Forgeline GA1R open lug wheels 11x19 and a set of 4 Michelin 305/30ZR19 sport cup 2 tires. I have the following parts to install after I powder coat them and detail the stock aluminum suspension pieces and rear IRS subframe. I also purchased the GT350R red Brembo calipers because they are cheaper then getting my black/gray ones Powder coated and no downtime.

Rear IRS parts:
BMR toe links
BMR vertical links
BMR lower control arm bearings
Waiting for camber links
FRPP control arm bearings
FRPP cradle bushings
FRPP differential bushings
Maximum motorsports caster camber plates

I would like to lower my car slightly and I have cut coil springs in the past to lower them. The GT350 and GT350R springs are cheap. I'm considering buying the stock GT350R springs front and rear and cutting them to get the car down slightly. I would also make adjustable sway bar links. And replace the sway bar bushings with urethane and billet mounts. I have also considered making front control arm bearings to eliminate the rubber bushings. Does anyone know if the GT350R sway bars are different then the GT350? I know the links are shorter. Or has their been word on GT350R lowering springs?

^this - but beyond that..

I'm leery of doing mods just to do them. I'd wait for some more people to get and track these cars to determine if there are any deficiencies and what the actual resolution was before I started throwing parts at it. I understand that some bushing types are typically associated with NVH and ride quality so it's tempting to replace those but sometimes that deflection of the OEM material is designed into the entire system.

Please for the love of all automotive gods, do not cut the springs on a 55k+ near factory race car. I'm honestly speechless you are even considering this type of a hack job route :crazy:

Give it some time, the aftermarket and/or ford performance will release some sort of lowering spring package

Absolutely do not not not not not not cut the springs. This isn't a trailer trash Fox Body. They were coiled and set specifically in the configuration that they are in for a reason.

The front GT350R springs are already lower than the track pack springs. You want to cut them? How low is "slightly" to you?

you should have ordered a GT350R...
Easier said then done. Only one dealer in my area (Michigan) that was getting a R started the price at 100K

Cutting 1/2 coil out is not hacking. Good god. Nobody said heat them with a torch. I have a full machine shop at my disposal. And I also asked about a GT350R lower spring. I'm only talking 1/2" or so.

Lol.
I'm storing all the stock pieces. It can all be put back to stock. It's not like I'm installing turbos, nitrous or a blower on a track car.

It is absolutely hacking :headbonk::headbonk::headbonk: Especially if you consider the fact that ford engineers took the time to design the coils to be side specific based on the direction they are spun. Cutting off half a coil throws off the un-comprressed length, compressed length, and total spring force, you know 3 key characteristics of a spring. Really not something you'd ever consider if you really intended to keep it a "track car"

At very least, it's going at the car with a box full of parts and zero data that would indicate that they would help or hurt.

For $40.00 a spring it's worth trying to me. I'm still keeping the originals untouched.

While you are at it, remove all the dampers on the exhaust and tranny. Worst case you can just reinstall them
