Talked to FP. They expect to be getting plenty of calls regarding this. No solution yet.

lol...what real solution can we expect from them?

You all bought a car with race inspired seats and now realize they are really race inspired seats.

I would say a clean diet and sound excercise routine is the best solution...lower the final curb weight and fit the seats

Classy response.

GT350 Track Pack seats are pretty narrow.

Nothing to do with weight.

Just can't get enuff!
Bottom line is these new Recaros for consumer use are great track-ready seats! They're supposed to be tight/snug and should envelope you from shoulder to knees. And that's why the Tech pkg exists w/ different seats for those that need the extra dimensions.

Like I stated in my GT350 journey thread, the next better seats to me personally would be those Lightweight CF Buckets from Porsche's GT lineup but the Shelby's Recaros are quite good! These GT350 specific Recaros are ten fold better than C7's GT or Sport seats. GM has no choice since most Vette buyers are that type of anthropometric-demographic if you catch my drift... :D

I have not sat in a single factory recaro or sport seat that was really anywhere close to a fixed back bucket when it comes to keeping you in one place, so the fact that these factory recaros are very narrow is good news (to me). and im not a small guy by any means

Visit one of your CA Ford dealers with GT350 Base or Track already in stock so you can briefly sit in one... after all won't many still have them in their inventory since that State typically wants a ginormous ADM as well as a liver and a testicle? :D

I think for those whose BMI is 30 or less (or maybe 33 but that's pushing it)... will love these new Recaros.

I am 6' 3" and 230. Got my track pack car last Thursday and the seats are tight. But not to the point I am not comfortable.

This was discussed during the North America tour. It was my understanding that the 350 recaros seats were wider in the middle back area then the boss seats. . That if the boss seats fit then the 350 would be no problem. There was no mention about the seat bottoms.
Does this mean that my girl friend that is 36-24-36 can't ride in my 350.:lol:
Can some owners chime in on this that own a boss. Thanks in advance.
My B302 seats are definitely tighter by my seat-of-the-pants feel.

The Shelby seats are smaller for sure. I own a '13 GHIG.

You don’t want to know
I'm 5'10", 170lbs., and have wide shoulders, and the GT350 Recaro seat cushions are fine. The problem is the side bolsters on the seatbacks, which are too narrow and dig into my sides. At the Track Tour, I confirmed that I could live with the Recaros for short track sessions (where you can stand any amount of pain to gain a tenth of a second), but that I would be miserable in them around town or on long trips. For an occasional track day where I'll only be racing myself, I certainly can cinch down a race harness tight enough to hold me firmly in my Tech Package seat.

To make the Recaros work for my intended uses for the car, the side bolsters need to be adjustable. As has been said here many times, the GT350 Recaros are different from any other Recaros on the market and have limited adjustments, so you really need to try them to see if they fit you.

Posting an update: the GT350 tech package seats are super comfortable for me. It feels to me like the bolsters in the seats might be a little lower or wider than they were in the 2015 GT I owned previously. I'm very glad I chose the tech package!

Hi!

perfect post to tag onto (even though it is my first post).

I'm 6'6", and I haven't found a dealer in my area in NJ with a GT350 + Recaro's to see/maybe sit it. I have sat in the EB PP Recaro's and will be test driving a GT PP with Recaros in the near future. The EB Recaro's are not an issue, even though with the seat all the way back and down it turns it into a 3 seater ;)

Are the GT350 Recaro's different (slightly, majorly) from the EB or GT PP Recaro's? I would assume they are different, just not sure how much so.

Thanks!

Daniel
