Last week I had the opportunity to sit in the Track Pack Recaros (Thanks Koons Ford of Baltimore) and Tech Pack seats (Thanks Fred from Evolution Performance). I'm 6'4" with a 38" waist and wear a 48" jacket. I fit comfortably into the Recaro seats in my 13 Boss and 14 GT500.

I was leaning Track pack on my GT350 order, but unfortunately the new Recaros pinch my hips really bad. I don't see them breaking in enough over time to be comfortable. No issues with my torso fit though. The Tech pack seats felt slightly more reinforced than my 15 GT seats. Could be that they aren't broken in yet.

Needless to say it was disappointing Ford went so aggressive with the lower bolstering. It's a deal killer on the Track Pack for me. I highly recommend anyone concerned about the Recaro seats track down a GT350 to do a test fit in. They're much tighter than the Recaros in the GT, but slightly wider than Focus ST Recaros.

I'm assuming that this is a typo...

At any rate, yeah, thanks for the info. The Recaros in the Boss and GT500 cars were comfortable, even for larger guys. The Recaros in my '15 GT are much tighter, almost to the point of being uncomfortable. I had been assuming that the Track pack Recaros would be equally as tight and that alone would turn me off the Track pack.

When the time comes, it'll be a Tech pack car for me.

I have a 2016 GT350 with the Recarros seat. I'm 5'11" -- 215lbs. I fit in them just nice and comfy. No problem to complain about.

Thanks for pointing out my mistake. I fixed it.

I haven't sat in the 15/16 GT Recaro seats. I'll have to hunt down a car to see how they feel compared to the GT350 Recaros for reference.

I think it comes down to how wide your hips or torso is near the blosters. It was uncomfortable sitting in the car for five minutes checking stuff out. I'd be miserable for an extended period in the car.

With that's said it's going to fit like a glove for others like yourself.

If you really want the track pack get it. I bet you could find someone to swap seats from a tech pack car no problem. I wish I could get the track pack with just the 8 inch screen with toggle switches it just makes the interior look a lot nicer.

Thanks for posting. I'm 6'4" 230 and also have a 38" waist. I am ordering tech pack because I assumed I wouldn't fit into the Recaros. I'm also bummed about it because I would have preferred to have Recaros. But I do think I'll like the tech pack seats just fine.

In 2015 the Mustang seats got a lot narrower. I sit on the bolsters of my base GT seats. My back doesn't touch the center of the seat. After about a year of driving it and just over 15,000 miles the bolsters in the seat bottom are just getting broken down enough that I'm pretty comfortable. That's the one thing I'm not looking forward to - driving for another year before I get the bolsters in the GT350 seat broken down enough. I may go to an upholstery shop and get the driver's side modified.

Yeah I think it depends on how narrow your frame is. I have a wide frame.

I've seen Focus ST threads where the notoriously lower seat pinching bolsters have guys modding them... They remove the seat cover and cut down the hard plastic bolster or create a cut in the attachment point of the bolster itself (so they flex over more). This creates a far more forgiving fit.

I suppose this 'mod' could be an option for someone that wants a GT350 bad enough and still keep the Recaros without having to suffer thru 'the pinch'.

I actually found the normal S550 recaros to be less comfortable than the GT350 ones. The GT/EB ones pinch you in the upper back, though not as bad as the Focus/Fiesta ST seats.

The Recaros are snug on the Track Pack. I am looking into an alternative seat option.

Some have suggested trading the Boss 302 seat bottom for the GT350 bottom.

Just for looks, you got to have those Recarros seats. If you don't, It be like ordering a GT350 with hubcaps.

Are you on a Richard Simmons waist workout routine?! Bro how do you have a 28" waste with those specs?

In the 15 gt, the recaros are tight as hell. I'm 5-10, 34 inch waist and 255 lbs and wear a 52 jacket and my back won't fit.

This was discussed during the North America tour. It was my understanding that the 350 recaros seats were wider in the middle back area then the boss seats. . That if the boss seats fit then the 350 would be no problem. There was no mention about the seat bottoms.
Does this mean that my girl friend that is 36-24-36 can't ride in my 350.:lol:
Can some owners chime in on this that own a boss. Thanks in advance.
