I have been searching, but I haven't found anyone to confirm. I am looking to replace my Recaro's with GT350 convenience package leather seats. I know they will mount in the car and I know the heat and cool will not work. But will the power seat work and will the air bags work?

Thank you

Joe

The airbags should work fine but you will lose your power seat function

I haven't purchased the leather seats yet, I was going to purchase them by the weekend, if I can figure out what all I need to do to power the seats. I was originally thinking of keeping the recaros, to keep the car VIN Matched..

I have made exactly this switch to my 16 GT350. Couldn't stand the Recaros for normal driving and getting in and out of the car...but I wanted the track pack coolers. I bought some cloth power seats from a 15 Mustang to replace my Recaros. As mentioned here the connectors are the same but power for the seats and the ground are NOT in the connector attached to the Recaros. I went to a dealer in Costa Mesa, near me, and asked about this conversion. They said after looking up on some Ford system computer that the wiring loom up inside the driver's kick panel was as close as the power and grounds were to the seat. Since I didn't want to tackle this myself I asked if they could do it. They said yes and they did do it. The seats work fine and no air bag lights and I'm very happy I did this.

Now I've considered getting some of the leather trimmed seats that come with the convenience package but just didn't want to bear the cost of them...maybe later on when there are more of them out there for sale.

Thank you this is great information. Would you happen to know the exact location of the kick panel wires or the wire color?

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your questions. All I know is they are wired to some kind of junction box in that kick panel area. I believe the tech at Robins Ford ran wires from there to the connector located under the seat. I told him I wanted to be able to put the Recaros back in maybe for track days so he understood that. Just haven't done the switch buy have run 4 weekends at various tracks using the fabric seats and they were fine for me. But I did install the Schroth 4 point harness which helped. But I can say it really needs a crotch belt to be totally effective.
