I agree with you that the lawyer/buyback route is the way to go. This car is so fun it shouldn't get spoiled worrying about oil usage. There are plenty of us out there that have no oil consumption for 1000's of miles. Good luck OP.
Thanks.

I'm sorry you're having this issue. Can you give us as many details as possible regarding your break in? Did you baby it? Drive it like you stole it?
The best way I could describe it is between those two. I did a lot of back road driving making sure I was varying RPM and going through the gears. I wouldn't redline it and stayed away from WOT, but I did accelerate aggressively to around 6k RPM or so. I then had the oil changed around 700 or so miles.

I've also had the FP oil separators/catch cans on both sides of the engine since about 50 miles. I've only done one AutoX with the car, otherwise no tracking or really really aggressive/hard driving on the car.

I first noticed the issue around 3000 miles and since then it has become worse.

disheartening to see Ford repeatedly shit the bed on these cars, and the customer service required. Imagine if they were all being driven and not sitting in garages or lots.

Nope, no details besides what I've said in my OP.
I call them bullshit. They are not being up front with you. Either they didn't do a leak down test or they didn't do it right. Does the tail pipe have oil film in it? Does the intake have oil in it? Do you have oil catch cans? Has the dealer been the only one doing the oil changes on the vehicle? Are they using the correct grade of oil? Are they filling it with 10 quarts and not 8 like the 5.0? How many miles on the car? How do the spark plugs look, oil fouled?
Sorry I'm a mechanic.

Imagine if people stopped buying them.

I'll try, but all I get is the runaround and they are very tight lipped about info. Even before I said I was going to look into lemoning it, which was today. They either truly do not know what the problem is or are keeping the info to themselves for whatever reason.
This is the problem. I don't believe them at all. I've dealt with dealers on a regular basis. They will do what they can to hide what they see fit. Not all, but many.

I'm not sure if they did or didn't do the test you are describing. I have been told by them that Ford has told them basically not to do anything to it.

Not sure on the intake, but tail pipes are dry. I have catch cans. Dealer has done the changes and I watched them put the correct type and quantity in. Just as I've done to keep it topped up. No idea on the plugs, but I doubt they are fouled as the thing runs like it has no issues whatsoever.

I actually currently believe my dealer is giving me as honest info as they possibly can. I'm not so sure about whoever at Ford is calling the shots though.

Thanks for the details. I think most people probably broke theirs in a very similar fashion.

One more question: Did you change the oil with Motorcraft 5W-50 at 700 miles? Amsoil?

negative atmosphere is coming right from Dearborn.
This is my hunch, but not from the engineers or others in jobs like that. My guess is the bean counters and certain management.

Drive the shit out of it, try to blow it up, they'll have to fix it then. Of course I have no idea if that is true or not but...... It's funny after going to the track attack and seeing the abuse these things can take and then to be on here and see these kinds of issues. The instructors really punish these things, I wasn't exactly nice to the one I drove either.....

Agreed. The goofy issues these cars have are a car by car issue. my car wouldn't start last week even with the battery on trickle prior and jump mode. Nothing. Had to replace the puny sub sub sub par 390 cca battery. After having my friend help me reset the pcm sequence and then run the car for at least 15 miles to realign the fuel curve. Find out stock battery plates are broken? Is this from vibration? Who knows. Guess what dealer would not send a tow or even replace the battery or help me. Also called Ford for assistance. Guess what car sat for 2 hours only to find out no one was coming. So I had to have someone go get me a battery so I can get car running to go home. Not good Ford has been sad in many a many gt350 problems. I am still waiting for Ford to call me back since last week Tuesday. I also asked if my car had warranty and Ford asked why. I said because no one has come to the table to fix ANY issue yet. Just outrageous.

Good luck getting something done.

Maybe if the car was built in Mexico it would be built better with more quality? Maybe soon?

I don't believe the track attack vehicles are stock in this case. I haven't seen 10 cars run that well or equal not even track packs or R's.

I have literally seen track packs, techs and even R's fail, over heat, go into limp mode and more. I think it is car by car.
