You can fix the scratches using the heatgun method and a similar color plastic filler or take it to a body shop for 25 bucks or so

That was my rear valance that I returned. I recognize the scratches.

It came damaged in the package. The truth is that the valance is not very well protected and packaged in the box that it comes in.

I figured if I could scoop it up for a good price I would but saw the scratches and almost fell over

moved to ext section instead of fs ext

it's already up to 232...wow.....for a scratched valance. those scratches are horrible too... people are nuts. I guess if you dip it it would cover it up.

Yeah well I had a good bid on it for well less then the current bid . My body guy said he had some ideas on how to fix it . But then someone just started bidding it up .

If it didn't have that honeycomb texture, it'd probably be a relatively simple fix.

I was going to 3d print a reverse mold for the honeycomb, fill in the scratches with a filler or plastic weld, heat up with a heatgun, and press the reverse mold in the areas to replicate the texture, blend with the heat gun, and then color match it

damn I really scored on my RTR for next to nothing...

I was interested in this at first glance, too... but then, as many have already said, it not only is going up in price pretty quickly, but the texture makes it near impossible to fix if you want it to look stock.

If you just want to plasti-dip the thing, I suppose it'd be fine, but then you lose some of the appeal of the piece. The honeycomb texture adds a lot to the look in person.
