thats exactly what i ordered, except with a black roof. glad i could finally see one close to what i ordered. i dont regret my color choice at all now

DIB is a great color cant go wrong there in my eyes no matter what stripe package you chose or if you go without stripes.

I'd like to see a DIB with those matte silver/gray stripes ala Jimmy Johnson's #48 race car. That color/stripe combo would look sharp!

I want the avalanche gray because of how different it is and because it's only being offered on the GT350 but man, everytime I see one in race red it makes me think I should switch colors...good thing I've got some time yet before it matters!

I would switch colors if I were you either race red black stripes or just a solid red no stripes looks way better than that primer gray

Confused..spoke to the dealership to finalize colour on my R and I was going to change to Avalanche with Black roof and black stripe, and he told me that the system would not allow him to input that combo, it had to be one or the other. He is going to look into it, but that combo is definitely available on the configurator. He thought maybe that it could not be ordered that way for a Canadian car, but I find that difficult especially because of the lower vehicle volume. Can anyone here provide any info that may help?

Ted, as discussed earlier this week the 2016 Shelby GT350R order form shows both the Painted Black Roof and the "OTR" Racing Stripe as being "Free Standing Options" where you can select any option or leave blank which also includes the car cover as another option?

Having said that I suggest that this is not a Canadian production option issue but more of an internal problem within Ford?

I personally do not know how Ford can offer a Painted Black Roof along with Black OTT Racing Stripes as individual options but that is just my opinion?

I cannot see the colors of the painted roof and the stripes being exactly the same and/or matching but maybe they should not be?

Personally I would go with one or the other option or just no stripes at all which is the way I ordered my 2016 R model?

I ordered this color combo as well. When I was on the phone with my salesman, he didn't think it would work, but I told him it should be possible. Not least because there are lots of pictures from the first media event at Grattan with this exact combo. Anyway, he tried it and was surprised when the system accepted the order.

My understanding is that there are at least two different systems that dealers may use to submit orders, maybe that has something to do with it. Or, maybe your dealer was making an assumption but not actually trying to submit that configuration.
