GT vs R8!

So when driving home from work today there was a pretty sweet Audi R8 next to me. We both knew what gonna happen. And as we were getting to the on ramp he pulled right next to me and we both went WOT from about a 20mph roll...
Now what was surprising was he didn't absolutely blow my doors off. He was maybe about a 1/4 car length ahead of me. We got up to 75 and I let off it to let him merge... And on we went about our days.
I thought the Audi R8 (unknown year) would eat my Lexi alive. But she held her own against what I believe was a AT R8!!!! No. We were not street racing and no speed limit laws were broke.
Idk the tech specs for the Audi, as I'm about to research that.
Opinions and thoughts anybody?

(I drive a manual and missed 3rd a little)

Hmm, maybe a first Gen I would assume after freeway speeds it would walk away.

In a similar situation I tried to keep up with an audi rs7 getting onto the freeway. My gt was completely embarrassed. For being the weight of WWII panzer tank those things haul. It just walked away from me, but I guess 560 hp and dsg will do that :lol:

It was definitely a V8. But... They have 430 HP.And weigh 3500 lbs. so idk if this car would exactly "walk" away.

4.2lt audi r8's show 0-60 in 4.4s quarter mile in 12.5 seconds! I found it online and I m surprised as well! So its a pretty close race!
