GT Stock intake pipe

I recently had my 2015 in the shop for engine issues, and after noticing that my inlet temperatures are breaching 150* in traffic on a 70 degree day, I looked at the stock intake setup. Is there supposed to be a pipe or a hose between the grille and the bottom of the intake? Right now I can reach up into the intake and feel the filter. If that part exists, any idea what the part number is?
