GT premium PP and 50th Ann. Pkg

Very confused and need HELP .....GT Premium interior... My signed order says Ambient Lighting and Illumitared Door Sills...... Have ambient lighting but did not get the illuminated sill plates.... Can anyone help me with what they have to compare?? Sales rep and management will talk to Ford Corporate tomorrow to sort this out!!

Very curious what you guys might have just to give me a little ammunition!!

That isn't specific to the GT, I have an Ecoboost and it is the same. I have the Premium PP with 50th anniversary appearance package. The 50th anniversary appearance package is what gets rid of the illuminated sills. Pretty stupid if you ask me, I'd rather have the premium illuminated sills.

My signed order states... All options and the Illuminated Sill Plates!! I have read nowhere that the Anniversary Pkg negates the sills??? Anything you've seen in writing?? The spoiler delete is pretty straight forward!!

There's nothing in writing. It's just like some other things like the integrated spotter mirrors are deleted if you have the blind spot monitoring. A more relevant example is the wheels but in a different direction. If you have the PP and the 50th appearance, they will always put the PP wheels. If you find a way to get the illuminated sills, I'd be interested, I'd definitely rather have those. Not sure why Ford would think to use the 50th appearance sills over the premium. It would be different if they said something to do with 50th anniversary or something. They are actually very plain.

My signed order copy reads it is included!! Signed and printed out by the dealer!! What have I got to lose to tell them to install as per the contract??

Also, I read the thread above and .... If you have "my color" premium pkg... The wiring is there and powered for an easy upgrade!!

No, it's not part of your signed contract. The lighted plates are part of the premium package but get replaced as part of the 50th Anniversary Appearance Package. That is the way it is. If you want lighted plates you need to add them yourself.

And if you had the PP, too, you wouldn't have your AP wheels; they get overridden by the PP wheels. You'd have a "signed order" that says AP with pretty silver wheels, and you'd have lovely black wheels. The AP sills are not lighted. That's how it is.

Yes, last November I bought a 2015 GT premium 6mt with the 50th AAP, 401a, Nav, pretty much everything but ACC and recaros. It was guard. I decided I wanted a ruby red premium with the PP and no 50 AAP. So I traded one in for the other. Took a small bit, but it was less than it would've been if I upgraded everything aftermarket, plus it would all be warrantied. And yes, the sill plates in my first one were plain as hell. Drove me crazy. So I got the non AAP with premier interior and got basically the same car minus the color, 50th seats/headrests, chrome tail accents, corral grill, and dashboard badge/50th AAP emblem.
Happy with it.

You should be able to get the lighted sill plates aftermarket no problem. I think there is an ad on here and he had a couple sets left.

You can order them and install them, but the "My Color" doesn't work. This has been discussed here in the past.

I was told by Rachel after she spoke with the Techs that the wiring is there, but NOT connected to power. Do you have a source? Would hope you are correct.
