Long story short, my PP GT was destroyed in my driveway by a drunk driver. I gutted and stripped everything I could before I let them take it.

I had a Paxton 2200SL and more on the car. I'm fairly certain I know the answer, but I guess it all comes down to the timing cover and the bracket for the Paxton. Does anyone know if the standard S550 GT kit will work the same on the GT350? And by that I mean bolt up?

I have an opportunity to buy an extremely low mile GT 350 for a good price, thats why I ask.

This area gets more traffic, hopefully someone knows. I see the v3 is offered but not the 2200sl.

I believe the answer is similar to the reason it won't fit the 2018. I think the hood clearance is not there to allow the 2200 head unit room to clear. That being said, and also being hindsight, I suppose you could potentially factor in the idea of using motor mounts to help clear the hood?

I should have though about this before I did more work on my car as this was the very factor keeping me from getting an 18 :(

If its signifigant enough, I would suppose that would be a problem. But if the kit for the V3 is the same for the GT350 as it is for the GT bracket wise there still should be no problem. The V3 hits the hood of GT's just like the paxton does, there are ways to shim the hood and the panels/facia to line up without cutting the insulation like the install manual for both suggests. Most people dont know that when they cut that insulation out, and the hood hits the blower it will introduce false knock. I just want to know if the bracket is in-fact the same, if it Is I can make it work.

The V3 volute is dimensionally smaller than the Paxton. The Paxton is already an interference fit between the rubber inlet piping and volute. I would suspect the larger GT350 TB would make this even more tight. While they all share the same bolt pattern on the gear case, the housings are different.

The bolt pattern from the bracket to the timing cover is what I'm looking for, I can fix what your talking about pretty simple.

I guess the better question is are are the timing covers for the GT350 and the GT the same.

there will be some differences to the kit, some of the items will carry over, but not everything

I have a fab shop lol. I just need to know if the bolt pattern is the same where the bracket goes to the timing cover and carries all the idlers....
