GT mileage

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to compare the mileage (in L/100 KM since we are Canadians) you guys are seeing. Mine seems to be pretty horrific so far. The advertised mileage is 13.5 L/100 KM city and I am getting about 20 L/100 KM. Mind you I am not babying it I wouldn't think it would be that high. So what are you guys getting?

I'm getting about 15L/100km so far...only about 300km on it though.

I have almost 500 kms on mine.

I have about 6800 on mine, only have had it almost 7 weeks, the best I every got was cruising on the hwy @110, was getting 9.5/100 (30 mpg)

Hey r-model, was that with your AC on, as I got a better gas mileage at 8.9L/100KM at around 110km/hr with AC off. Using Petro Canada Ultra 94 octane. I have 5,500 kms now.

I did notice that the gas mileage improves after the break-in period (1,600 km).

9600 KM and I get around 13-15 in town and 24-29 on the highway. Its pretty easy for that number to jump to 20 around town with just a little extra throttle input.

I use strictly 91 Octane, the engine was not fully broken in when I did that coming home from Dasilva's track day at Cayuga.

My buddy with a GT PP manual tells me he is getting 15l/100km's but he really hasn't driven anywhere but the city

after about 4600 kms I get a constant 13.0-13.2 combined city and hwy, so I think that is about 22mpg

City driving per say in 6th gear around 1000 rpm translates into 13 or 14 l /100 but if its rush hour and lots of stops and idling it goes up very quick...Makes sense.. I didn't buy this car for the mileage.

A question I have for everyone is..do you see difference in mileage if you run sport mode all the time instead of normal?

Have 1500km on her now and averaging 13.7L/100km with mostly city driving and not babying her either. Getting over 400km out of a tank and been pumping 91 minimum. Base GT manual.
