I found this video :

and this info :

The Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 are rated at about the same level as the x-ice3, but, the reviews that I red favor the nokkians, 245x45x19 for my pony for my driving conditions here in Calgary :D

Get them early. Were not many around in Calgary last December.

Does anyone know if 17" rims will fit on the non pp GT premium? 17" tires about $100 less than 18" size from what I can see

I will be throwing a set of Nokian Hakkapelitta R2's in 235/50R18 on my factory 18" GT wheels at my local Kal Tire (only supplier of Nokian). I will update sometime after snowfall to let everyone know how bearable the Mustang is in the winter.

Now if the companies that release bypass modules for remote starters would get something released, I could get a remote start on my car! I haven't been without remote start for about 7 years lol...can't be without!

Buying r2s as well. Studded?
Nope, I don't think the R2's can be studded. The Hakka 7 (and 8) are though? I have heard non-studded tires are getting good enough that studs are no longer making a huge difference. Plus I hate the sound of studded tires on dry pavement. I'll be running them from October to April so there are bound to be dry roads at some point lol.

you will be fine. The hakka r2's are supposed to be the best non-studded winter tire you can get.

I have the Hak R2's and drove them all last winter. They are hands down the best winter tires i have ever had.
I have mine installed on the factory wheels. I'm confident in their ability, but proof will be seen in a couple months.

Used my GT PP as a daily driver on Michelin Alpin PA4's all last winter. You'll be pleasantly surprised with those tires on your car.

Just sprung for a set of 255/40/19 Hakkapeliitta R2s on the nickel-wheels from the Custom Pack (Like the GT PP wheels, but not black). Ford recommended this model, and I agree that it is the best non-studded tyre out there from my experience. Hopefully that'll be enough to hold off the looming winter!
