How much do you think these will cost if you want to order them?

If I end up getting the EB, the one thing I want is that GT hood and grill (don't care if it's on an EB lol).

It will depend on if you purchase them as take offs or as replacement OEM parts from a body shop. If I had to hazard a guess I would say $850 for the hood and $300 for the grills ordered primed and prepped. You will have to pay for paint and labor of course on top of that.

I am basing this off of a hazy recollection of what I paid to replace the hood and grill on my 2005 about 8 years ago, so not only is the information wildly out of date, it is also highly likely I have confused the numbers over the years.

I would give it a few weeks after a bunch of people take delivery. You will see hoods and grills pop up all over the site lol

Yah that was what I was thinking. I mean a GT hood will fit on an EB...there is no difference.

Don't modify the EB grill. There are active airshutters in there that are optimized for the turbo. I wouldn't just change that out for looks alone.

The active shutters are purely an attempt to eek out an extra tenth of fuel mileage by blocking off some of the air flow into the grill at highway speeds. From a performance stand point they are a little bit of a hindrance for the EB because hard running at higher speeds it can restrict some of the cooling air to the intercooler. Anyone that is looking at getting an EB really should look at the Focus ST forum. There you can get a lot of useful info on the 2.3L EB's little brother the 2.0L EB. It's strong points (toorrrqquuuee for days) and weaknesses (tiny intercooler, to small turbo). A lot of that info will translate directly to the Mustang EB, including info on the active shutter system. Many folks removed the shutters to allow for unobstructed air flow to the intercooler especially if they replaced the stock intercooler with a larger one.

Right. Shutters won't have any positive effect on performance just gas mileage. The cooler you keep the intercooler the higher the reserve it has to pull heat when you need it. Seeing how these FI engines pull power when they get hot that is something you want to avoid.

I wonder if someone will come out with an EB active shutter aftermarket grill that matches the GT fang look. I'm not a big fan of the horizontal hexagon grill.

the air shutters are most likely located in the lower fascia as they are with other Ford vehicles, and that includes NA motors (ex. Focus). Unless news comes out later saying otherwise you should be fine, just look at both models and visualize the openings to make sure it is adequate. Bear in mind the performance package has the same exact grille as the non-PP despite having a larger radiator, so airflow must not be a problem. Also I think the "fangs" on the GT are a separate piece you could just slap on, but I could be wrong.

The only thing I wouldn't mess with is the lower fascia on models with Adaptive cruise, as it is custom made to house/protect the radar sensors

Gotcha.

Do you think it would be possible to add those heat vents on the hood or just better to get a new hood or even see if someone for some reason with a GT doesn't want the vents (i've seen a few posts that don't like them) and do a trade?

They are in both the upper and lower grille areas.

You would have to cut into a non-GT hood to add the vents, as well as get a new underhood blanket.

This! But the reality is that with ANY aftermarket intercooler, the AGS needs to go. It's useless and flimsy. I've noticed no detriment not having them on my FoST, but I sure have noticed the gain from the massive intercooler.
