I did the DIY delete thing, and liked how it looked. But I caught a lot of lovebugs and other debris so I decided to add some mesh. Painted it to match my wheels.

Only car I ever had an issue with was my '02 Z06, which came with an open lower grille. Caught a rock at speed that punctured the AC core. Was a bit of a PITA to repair.

Not ALL cars have grilles from the manufacturer and how many incidents have you heard of with people having a damaged radiator or heat exchanger due to having an open grille? Think about all of the THOUSANDS of open grilles out there.
That's not an open grille, there is mesh in there. Do all GT500s come like that? I always thought they were totally open.

As far as the grill delete, I am undecided personally. I was all for it at first, but I have seen a few pics at different angles and I just wasn't a fan. I'll admit they look badass when looking at them head on like in Diode's pic above. But, I really want to see on in person before I pull the trigger. For the moment my planned set up is stock GT upper grill with blacked out pony and deleted GT lower grill with an aftermarket intercooler peaking through. I saw one like that on here recently and it looked amazing.

I get that question and the unfinished car joke all the time, but I also get a lot of praise on how aggressive it is. It's one of those love it or hate it mods.

Now, with the mesh, everyone seems to like it.

I think it only looks good on black. Any other car gets that unfinished look.

I love how my delete looks, pics dont do these cars justice... looks way better in person. The extra splitter gives it a completely different look
