My dealer checked 400 miles around nothing close. Aure he canceled but read the title. Venting to blow off steam I.e. Mad. Why is he mad 30 days after his order he didn't have his car or vin. Heck a couple of days ago we had another guy same type of thing but he called on his lawyer. Again 30 days wait and didn't have his car

Yes, really... I like black for an interior color about as much as Red so that leaves the adaptive cruise as the only thing my new car doesn't have that the one I ordered did. My daily driver has a bad transmission and I drive 45 miles EACH way to work. I've been bumming rides to work for over a month a half now and I REALLY don't want to put that many miles on my Shelby. Adaptive cruise simply isn't worth waiting another 5 months for. So, yes, really.

Really dude? I ordered mine on 5/20. I won't see it until mid November.

Hey why dont u read before u go off, the guy canceled his order because he didnt want to wait, so he looked around at dealers and found one close to what he was looking for.So u can do the same thing, cancel ur order and start looking, but read all the post before u fly off the handle.

I expected the car that quickly because that is what the obviously misinformed dealer told me. That was before I signed up for this forum and found out how long people have been waiting

I am south. In Florida tons of dealers and going out 400 miles gets me into Georgia, Alabama, and pretty much all of florida. I went too rare with mine. TY, PP, Eco, nav, 201a. That loaded of a stang is more then some GT's and just under most that the dealers are ordering. So I guess their logic is if someone's paying that much they'll go gt

I was told by my dealer I would get the first. Ford gave us the false impression we would have cars in August sense they originally started scheduling test drives aug 2. My dealer has gotten 3 cars and a 4th inc. mine will be the 5th and it was ordered over a month before the dealer ordered theirs.

I'm saying you're unrealistic thinking you'll get a car you ordered in 30 days. 100% unrealistic.

That sucks your dealer told you that. Mine has always said 8-10 weeks. The wait is killer though.

Your dealer's 8-10 weeks may still come true based on the dates you have posted.

Jeff knows his stuff. I won't deal with anyone else. It is worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to deal with him.

He even called me on Friday to give me my build date info before I asked him. Helps he is a big mustang guy with a highly modified 06 GT

So, I wasn't very enthusiastic about the idea of waiting (patience has never been a strong suit of mine). I found a car about 150 miles away that's nearly identical to what I ordered except this one has a black interior, instead of red, and it has navigation whereas on the one I ordered I requested the adaptive cruise/rain sensing wipers (I think I was the only one in America who did this lol).

Anyway, I pick up my new 2015 on monday! Already texted my boss and told him I'm taking the day off. His response, "Send me some pics!"
SMART MOVE! I did the same thing! I already put 500 miles on mine.

You'll be driving it tomorrow and come back on this forum to read about more delays and how cotus is not "right"

At that moment you will realize you made the right decision! Congrats!

In the end its the dealerships fault. They tell you that the car will be here one day and then they basically lie to you after the day of delivery comes.

And its not just about the waiting. People sell their old cars because the dealership reassures the customer the car will be here in 3-4 weeks knowing fully that some people will wait until January-February for delivery.

I know someone who ordered mid September and got told by the dealer that the car would be here before November 1st. Then after some email exchanges (which the dealer never bothered to answer) the dealer then told the customer and quote: According to schedule the Mustang should arrive mid November.

The customer knew it was BullshT because he has been checking COTUS for a VIN which until this day has not been assigned one so he knows best case scenario his car will get a VIN next week and get delivery early to mid December. So he decided to check with ford rep and they come around and said that yeah, the dealership is horsing around and the order is still in process.

See. Its not the customer's fault but the misinformation from the dealerships that causes customers to be mad. If they knew how to do their job they would be well informed and the customer can have a better choice of either waiting a few months or just go to the competition and buy another brand.

Many people have been waiting since May and they promised delivery in Sept. well Sept. is long gone! That's a lot of patience, but not everyone has that patience.

Just saying.
Exactly! I said the same thing as you and had other members accusing me of acting privileged and arrogant! LOLOLOL!

If you make a deal with anyone and they don't deliver, how could it possibly be your fault. Even if the car was only an hour late from what they promised, they are still wrong.

And if you ordered in May or June or whatever, don't get upset when you see me step up and get a car in less than 30 days. It ain't my fault!

These are the types of people who hang around inside the mens bathroom to smell other peoples crap all day!

How can you guys say it's a dealers fault when in fact the dealer has NO CONTROL over scheduling, parts shortage and everything else that affects a vehicle production.
It's the consumers fault for not realizing that everything is all ESTIMATED , not GUARANTEED. that's why Ford gives the dealers an ETA. I'm sure everyone knows what the E stands for.
So when dealers give you a time frame that's based on the time MOST order take from Dora-Delivery. But when there's delays, can you honestly put the blame on the dealer?

And as far as dealers "doing their job", they don't get any more information than consumers can now days online. Plus to them it's simply a car, nothing more nothing less. They don't go all crazy and excited and refresh every second to see where that single car is. The car gets there when Ford delivers it. That's all they care about.
