Question about changing order?

I shook hands with the dealer last week, they said the order wasn't pulled by Ford until yesterday (which is the date that appears on cotus and my VOC), and I received my VIN this morning. A lot of others who ordered recently are reporting the same thing, I feel bad for those who ordered earlier but I'm not making this up.
Was it stock? If you ordered a retail order and got a VIN that quick I may jump out my 9th floor window.

Yes. It says Order Type 2 and Retail on the VOC.

If it matters, it's a smaller dealer and they haven't placed many orders. I'm priority 20.

Thanks, sorry to hear about your delay. When did you order?

Does getting a VIN mean anything in terms of scheduling or priority?
I ordered 118 days ago, 5/23.

Can't answer your 2nd question, say all of a sudden OKTB is achieved...I don't think they would put retail orders in front of yours but am not sure on that...

That would be a stock order if its order type 2. Also the priority 20 suggests its Stock As retail orders are usually assigned priority 10-19.

Back to topic and my original question: my order was placed yesterday as a stock order and I received a VIN number this morning. It's currently in order processing on cotus. I'm having some second thoughts on the color, would that affect my priority if I change it soon?
