It's funny how they have the same kinds of threads on Camaro5 and Camaro6 for people that were banned here. Then everyone piles in on the same flame war, yeesh. I'll never understand this blind allegiance that's sworn to a product.

That site is best described as a cult....

I made it a couple of weeks there before getting punted, I guess I am resistant to brainwashing.

To be honest, I never understood why some forums are like this. For example if I had a Camaro, and it would be slower than a Challenger, or a Mustang I could care less, it's called life, nothing is perfect and the way we want it to be. It seems like thei forum tries to get rid off imperfections of the Camaro so much that they ban people for questioning some stuff, this is where it goes too far. No car is perfect and the best in the world, and as long as they want to give the Camaro the title of the best innocent people will be probably banned for some stupid crap. Give it a break, that's what forums are for, discussions, not propaganda.

That absolute most frustrating thing about that forum was the fanboys could call you every name you can thing of and it was fine because they were defending the Camaro. But as soon as you hit back. You were on the 3 strike list! I admire anyone that will get out and actually run their car. (4 bangers all the way up to V12s) A fanboy that is always quoting ring times or saying well so and so ran this time so were all capable of it drives me crazy. Quit typing and prove it.

As for the ring times, they want to look professional, you know, like the manufacturer guys that test cars on the Nurburgring, although they don't know what it takes to be one of those guys. It is really hard and time consuming process. Sure they do it as an advertisement, because it looks great to be the manufacturer with the fastest times on one of the hardest tracks in the world, but most of the time they do it to test the car itself, how it handles, how it accelerates, how it brakes, how it behaves in different conditions. Those test drivers know the track layout better than their house layout, but still every single lap is a risk, they need to be concentrated and on top of their game every second they are on the track. Guys that just put their time in quotes on the forum just want to show off most of the time (not everyone, but still), but it doesn't do anything for the other people. You can run 6 minute lap on the Nurburgring? Great, but what does it do for me? And even then, there is no guarantee that someone didn;t come up with it to look cool, like I can put "6:59/Nurburgring/Ferrari LaFerrari/July 21 2015", now who's going to believe me? :D

I've been put in "time-out" over there a couple of times myself. Such a bunch of jackwagons.

Just saw where LOWDOWN passed away from cancer recently at the age of 64. My condolences to his family for their loss, but I can't say I will miss his myopic ramblings on the various forums.

I know this is terrible...

But I can't say I'm sorry. Really sucks for people that cared for him tho.
