Cops love to ticket here in the valley for the sides. On my list but only going to smoke them.
I've gone 5% ALL AROUND before and never got tickets here in Silicon Valley.

Maybe lucky. Maybe just plain dumb... but I like how it looks!

I've had tinted cars since 1999 and never been pulled over for it, here in the Bay Area. I do try to put them down when I spot a Cop, though, just to be safe!

You've been lucky! I had a "Code Enforcement" vehicle that was two cars ahead of me and in the next lane over hold up traffic when the light changed just so they could slide in behind me and pull me over for my tint... which was only 2% below the limit. Bastards! :tsk:

I've had all of my cars done with 5% and never had a problem with tickets. I was cited for it once but that was because I was doing 110 on the highway late at night with no one on the road and approached a trooper from behind, he didn't have me on radar so all he could do was ticket me for the tint. I paid the $80 fine and kept the tint. That was 10 years ago and no other problems over tint in many other traffic stops.

Pick your state and adhere to it's guidelines, you will never get a ticket.

If the guy doing your tint doesn't know the laws for his state than he is an idiot, go somewhere else.

Terry

Sometimes its a plus if your tint guy doesnt know the law. Last week my brother was trying to tint his passat really dark; 5 and 20. The guys said it was against the law and refused to do it.

Some guys know, some dont. Some will tint and some wont.

I got 5% done all the way around on mine. I live in Oregon not cali but legal limit is 35% and never been bugged about it. But I have a co-worker who has 20% and he has been nailed for it. Just don't drive like a idiot and you should be fine

I've had 15% all around for about 10 years...and never had a problem. Although, had a bunch of friends get a ticket for about the same darkness. Luck of the draw.

I'm tempted to. But at the same time I'm also considering slapping some louvers on the back of it, and maybe the rear quarter panels. Not going to bother with the tint if I do this.

Was thinking about louvers, but decided to just go with the tint

I'm contemplating on tint. Just mounted my skinny Darkstars on the front. Would tint be too much black??
No such thing as too much black!
