I love this thing! Sure it takes about 10 times as long to get the downstairs vacuumed but it's one less thing I have to do. I run it daily and it seems to be learning the floor plan. I'm trying to think of mods for it. Needs longer battery life and more suction power and move speed so it gets the job done faster. I'm okay with the added drone if performance is increased. Carbon Fiber parts might be needed. Maybe some racing stripes? Magnetic dampers? My furnace has a filter that electrocutes some debris so maybe something like that in the Roomba's dust bin so it can go longer before emptying. Stock wheels and tires seem fine, good even wear and looking like I'll se some great millage.

I think it's one of the best robot vacuums, have a one at home and it's great.
About modes, it's a nice idea now also start thinking about it... may be if I'll add some weapons I can go on Robot Wars 😂😂😂

I named my roomba "Robbie"
Fwiw, whenever he rolls over my area rug, he spits out his guts all over the rug.
Thankfully, I have a Dyson handheld vacuum to scoop up the vomit.

Now you need to buy a turtle and place it on the roomba so it can get around faster.

What about a lift kit for those pesky door sills between rooms? Or maybe air bags?

Some great ideas here! It does make it over transitions to other rooms and carpet no problem with some mechanical raising/lowering mechanism but I might need to bag it for smoother operation and so it can stance properly at the next Roomas and Red Bull meet.

Unfortunately it is like a Tesla with only 1 gear but I do get max torque at zero RPM. After amping up the performance, I may need more gears. If so, I'll need to decide if I want to maintain maximum feel and connectivity to floors by going manual (obviously a Tremec!) or go for an auto for those better cleaning times and sacrificing some of the pure enjoyment of vacuuming.

My next question would be what oil to I use for maintenance? Castrol? Amsoil? I'm leaning towards Royal Purple with a WIX filter but I just don't know. I hope some of you with more knowledge of oils and Roombas can help me out here.

Hopefully you didn't get one of the models that has the tick or the 2k rattle. :)
Fingers crossed nothing shows up after the first oil change!
