Hey Fellas -

These don't actually fit on the GT350R. Shop got around to try to install them today and the fittings are too small (or rather too large on the GT350R calipers).

I didn't know there was a difference between the GT350 and R brakes other than the colour.

Thoughts? Possible I received the wrong ones?

Jordan,

Which fitting is too large? Please point it out in the picture. We use these lines on several Shelby's. Ford Performance sells a brake upgrade kit which utilizes the Shelby R calipers and reuses the factory brake hoses in which the Goodridge fittings are modeled after and placed side by side are identical on the front and they use a standard banjo fitting on the rear which has plenty of clearance on the caliper. Do you have pictures available?

Interesting.

I'll get that info for you on Monday. I was told that the hose fittings are too small and won't connect to the calipers. I'll get back to you!

I only test fit the rears so far and noticed they used a typical spherical hose end/banjo bolt instead of the stock Ford square/block hose end - threw me for a second but the fit looked good. The sway bar bracket and brake hardline connectors were spot on. Since my model is a set of Gt350r red calipers available for test fit it seems to check out.

I may be able to check the fittings up front by tomorrow.

They're definitely a little different, by I'm optimistic they're going to work fine.

Right on. Please update when you can. Either the shop made a mistake and eye balled it - or perhaps my package was a bit off. Either way, not a big deal and we will get it sorted.

I like to disassemble things.
I didn't know there was a difference between the GT350 and R brakes other than the colour.
Beyond color, the R and non-R brakes are 100% identical.

Thank you. Perhaps it was the different style of fitting that through them off - or perhaps wrong packaged parts. I'll find out Monday and report back!

For completeness, here's a photo of what I have, the box says 12366. It matches the Goodridge from Optimum Mustang, but no doubt he's done more installs than I have. I always had the understanding that the GT350R/GT350 calipers were the same, and nothing I see changes that (powdercoat vs anodized).

The front fits correctly, but has minor differences. The hollow banjo fitting bolts fit the GT350 and GT350R both. The caliper side of the brake line has a square fitting, it sits fairly tight to a back brace molded into the caliper. Because the GT350R caliper is powder coated, it may appear at first glance to not fit as well as the anodized GT350 caliper. But this wouldn't confuse a technician for even a minute. The front brackets look good. The fluid line does have a different bend to it than the stock lines, due to orientation of the end fittings and the stainless steel cable body.

On assessment, these fit, and I'll be putting them on as soon as I get the parking cable released so I can swap the rear calipers.

My results, at any rate. I don't want to get in the way of you and your tech, or Optimum Mustang, but I think you have the right parts... Good luck.

Are you guys noticing any difference in feel for street driving? I would assume as the oem lines get older there would be noticeable differences but how about on newer lines?

I just tried installing mine and it doesn't look like they fit. The fittings themselves look fine but the Goodrich lines are a little over an inch shorter. I couldn't figure out a way to make them fit. Anyone have pics of them installed? I didn't even bother with the rears yet since I couldn't get the fronts installed. My box says 12366 on it as well and I bought mine from Optimum Mustang.

Tried again here. Banjo fittings are too small on my hoses.

Just for the new lines. First line I tried was the drivers front. The part that screws into the top was the wrong thread pitch.

I might have to try out Spiegler lines since Goodridge recalled their lines.
