  1. 2018 GT PP2 Rear Differential Overheating Issue

I did a feeler a year ago for a billet finned diff. At 1k a piece no one was interested. It’s a bit more than say a S15 or other diffs since the cover is structural.
  2. 2018/2019 GT Front Brake Cooling Ducts - Any Solutions?

I have multiple customers running the AP discs. Some competively including myself, none of us have needed ducting. The oem discs simply do not release the heat quickly or efficiently enough. With my testing using disc temp paint you’d save yourself a lot of hassle adding ducting and maintaining...
  3. Track Brake Pads - G-LOC vs Hawk

If you switch you will have to clean your current rotors or buy new rotors. I use DSUNO pads on all track events and switch to my stock pads after. If you go back in with DS1.11 or DSUNOs you’ll be able to continue to use your stock pads on the street. I have quite a few guys on here running...
  4. Ferodo pads and more for your S550

Just emailed you back. You can use those on the street but they make squeal and have less Initial bite when cold
  5. Ferodo pads and more for your S550

The issue is overheating the pads. Every pad has a heat range where it will Work to to its fullest potential. Too cold and it won’t bite, too hot and it will melt. In your case, you are over working your pads. In heavy braking zones your pads are melting. After they melt it leaves deposits of...
  6. Ferodo pads and more for your S550

I think they are superior. I’ve spent 10s of thousands on pads. They just do their thing and do it well. I reccomend all GT PP owners and Gt350 owners to save the oem pads for the street and pick up DSUNO or ds1.11 for the front and rear. This way you will be able to switch back and forth...
  7. Brake Pads and Rotors for Street/Track use

Do it once, do it right. Pick up a used set of GTPP calipers and pick up the pads, fluid, discs and lines below. I have a ton of customers running this setup and I guarantee you will never run out of brake. You can run oem pads on the street and use DS1.11 on the track. You’ll be able to...
  8. Laguna Seca Peeps + anyone else who needs to pass sound

1000000% worth it, this is how the car should have came. Laguna is worth the price as well.
  9. Laguna Seca Peeps + anyone else who needs to pass sound

It goes away, only showed up once
  10. Front hub dust covers

You can yes, as long as you keep a cap on the wheel itself you’ll be fine.
  11. Radiator & Oil Cooler

If you are planning to track your car you should. I did very very thorough testing on my pprevios car and ended up running dual 25 row oil coolers in the fog light areas. However I do drive hard and go all out on slicks. The lower you can keep your oil temps and cooling temps the better off...
  12. - Non-R Track Day Drive-by Noise Level—OEM exhaust?

  13. Laguna Seca Peeps + anyone else who needs to pass sound

Up behind the the rear bumper. I zip tied it around the support for the diffuser brace.
  14. Laguna Seca Peeps + anyone else who needs to pass sound

Oh do I have good news for everyone!! For anyone who has driven at Laguna Seca or low sound tracks, there have really been only 3 options. Buy the grimspeed resistors, put plumbing plugs into the exhaust or lift at the sound towers. I tried making a new separate harness for the valves but they...
  15. Roasted Dust Boots on 4 Pot Calipers

I have a ton of customers including myself with the 6 piston Brembos and 2 piece discs without roasted boots. That 4 piston caliper along with poor disc design is a massive heat sync. If you want to stick with it I’d get brake ducting and proper discs. If not pick up the GTPP calipers which...
  16. - Non-R Track Day Drive-by Noise Level—OEM exhaust?

Good to hear. I was there Sunday. At Laguna it also helps to turn in and get further left from the tower and to try to get bunched up with other cars. If there’s a group of 2-3 cars they typically won’t meatball any.
  17. Pirelli vs Continental take-off thoughts..

Well over 100 dB. If you want to have a drama free day get the grim speed exhaust resistors. However the car will feel down on power.
  18. Pirelli vs Continental take-off thoughts..

I know with the valves forced closed it’s under 92db. Open is another story. That’s 92db at 60/70mph. I find that the car is quieter the as you go faster.
