Now that is one dedicated salesman!
My dealer knows i like new shiny things lol the dealership is fairly small in relative terms ( only 6 mustang orders and has sold 1 xr8, to me) I also have a deposit down on any hypo mustang that might come gt350, gt500 etc.

Forget all of them... I just want a C7 Corvette Z06! Unfortunately we'd have to wait till the C8 if they ever do wind up here...

I don't understand how people are getting this information for the Mustang, my salesman also bough a mustang and checks the mustang news daily he hasn't reported any change in expected date. I am number 6 at that dealer so I should be fine. They had 30+ orders which isn't surprising with a salesman who loves the car

Well my info came from the dealer. I assume that ford have given the dealers their respective allocations per month and the dealers are just going down their lists.

I think the allocation of cars is also relative to time deposit was placed.Ford has said if any cars ordered are not proceeded with cars go back to ford and reallocated to orders in system, the dealer does not get the chance to sell to any one jumping queue. So therefore even if big dealer has 50 deposits it still goes back to when deposit was paid,as to when car is delivered.

I've noticed in another thread that cars for Europe are being built now. These must be MY15 builds.

There's also been a lot of discussion in a thread about panel alignment and what might be done about it for the MY16 model.

I've seen the Dealer Bulletin about Aussie RHD's being MY16 so personally, I'd rather wait an extra month or so to ensure I did get an MY16 build.

I'm not expecting perfection, only that it's as good as my FGII GT; that car has been put together well.

Our cars will be MY2016. Early delivered ones will be 2015 complied though, December and probably some January delivered.

I wonder how many Mustangs will come over on the 1st boatload?
How many of the these will be designated as "Ford Executive" vehicles? (Where they will be loaned out to local press to test drive and review.)
And what configuration will they have for these press (Ford Executive) vehicles?

Has anyone else had a call from their dealer with month. I asked ford aus for an explanation for the already missed publicised delivery deadline.

As expected I got back a "demand is high outside of Australia in other rhd markets we are trying to fill all orders"

Didn't answer my question at all but I am going to suggest that there will be another delay and cars will be months more.

All in all the release has been terrribly handled by ford aus. Don't publicly announce a delivery range then blow it out of the water not two months later. Don't get me wrong I want the car and will keep the order but that doesn't mean I won't sell it and never buy a ford again. If the hellcat gets locked in I think this car is going on the market the day it arrives
