I sent an email to the 'Contact Us' on the Ford AU website just to see what they'd say:

"Thank you for your e-mail to Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited (Ford Australia).
In response to your enquiry, we suggest that you contact your dealer directly for further information on the order of your Ford Mustang, as they are in the best position to assist you with your enquiry."

I haven't had a chance to call because public holiday in WA, will see where we get to tomorrow. I placed my order 4th March 2015.

It may also be a tactic by Ford AU to get the smaller dealers to advise delays and see what reception to these delays are like before having to deal with complaints from all 2000+ preorder customers at once.
Breaker, I can assure you that FOA wouldn't implement any form of tactics. The controlling body with units coming into Australia is Ford US. They may be encountering quality issues, shortage from suppliers, and any other issues out of their control.

I'll be receiving my around the last quarter of 2016. I'm not fussed because over the next 12 months of the RHD build the quality (TGW) will surely improve.

Patience people!

Ordered in April and was originally advised delivery Q2 2016. If this gets pushed to August/Sept 2016 I'll probably be forced to buy something in the meantime. There is sweet FA chance me being without a car for two winters in a row.

Patience is overrated :)
I asked about orders outside the preorder. Response "ha we don't have a date but it's going to be well into 3rd qtr"

I've heard jack from my dealer.

Perhaps if I stick my fingers in my ears, close my eyes and do the "lalala" thing my car will turn up on time.

There must be an issue with some sub component delivery if this is happening. Maybe engine making plants are struggling. I wouldn't think making 10,000 cars for EU, UK, us and Japs /Chinese/Russians is that much of an ask for the assembly plant

I guess we shouldnt really be surprised people are waiting till the end of the year for a mondeo, the everest looks to be delayed and they cant even keep up demand for xr6ts and xr8s. Wish SRT or dodge would just bring the damn Challenger over lol

I always thought car companies are in the business of selling cars....clearly not the case with Ford with all these delays...

Funny you say that. Was reading the article looked over at my better half. She didn't even look and said no before I opened my mouth. Apparently I have "want to buy a car" face
