You people don't even care about Capital Police, or authority in general.

A police officer was beaten, a rioter was shot, and three others died during the rampage. Jan 6th.

More than 2,000 law enforcement officers were injured in the first weeks of protests over the summer following the police killing of George Floyd, according to a report released in October.

But those were peaceful protests.

Your kind give a crap about American workers. Or Americans in general. Spare me!!!!

You don't care how many people are working in sustainable jobs, the covid situation, etc. You people don't even care about Capital Police, or authority in general.

Go back to posting your silly memes.
Capital (sic) Police? What does the Capitol Police have to do with this topic? 😆 Here’s your meme Earnest T.

Here is another affordable option for you. You guys were going on and on about price and how it will never drop.
Hello; Yes, price is among the issues of BEV's. Read the link to see what you champion this time. My take is the EV is a worse example than the "shrink flation" happening with grocery store items. You likely know. When a product is smaller or less weight but still costs the same or even more than before.
One of the costliest parts of an EV, perhaps the costilless, is the battery pack. So what the "low cost" EV appears to do is have a much smaller battery pack. 80+ miles on a full charge is pretty weak even by EV standards.
If we go back to a recent post where one of the champions posted to extend battery life that EV batteries ought to be charged up to only 80% of capacity. Then if it gets too cold or hot battery range decreases. Same for using pesky accessories such as lights, heat, wiper, AC and such.
I wonder what practical range will be left.
But to be fair the car will meet the needs of some folks. I and others you rail against have stated many times we do not mind if someone wants to own an EV. Go for it if one suits your life style.

last point here. The cost is expected to be around $24,000. I looked at a new Kia Forte GT with a six speed last week which lists for just over $26,000. This "cheap" EV will not be worth it.

Nobody takes you serious with your idiotic responses. Like I’ve said before, you’re just a punk ass kid that doesn’t know a thing about life. You really think the science thread is thriving…..🤣. Again you don’t have a clue. The only reason it even exists is because you post about new vaccines🤪. What a joke you are.

Hello; A thing is that many, not all, who have been kicked out of the Science is cancelled thread would not be kicked off today. A few crossed lines of vulgar posts and such and deserved to be punished. Many such as myself merely questioned the "official agenda" about Covid 19. I was not vulgar.
I challenged the rhetoric around "natural immunity", masks and vaccine efficiency as did some others. We were kicked off that thread during the censorship drive called "misinformation". Thing is I and others were eventually proven to be correct by facts. Yet i and others are still off that thread today.

Hello; May I speculate that these Dolfin EV's will use electricity in the manufacture process that is generated by burning coal.
And care about doing business with CHINA? Is that better than your unwavering support of OPEC?
Hello; I will stick to simple sentences so as to not confuse you. I pose a question about the EV to be made in China. You may continue to ignore the point of course, but how is an EV manufactured using energy by coal in line with the "green" movement?

Goodbye; the point was comments made several pages back how the price would never come down and they were too expensive.

You guys can go all into attacking people when they don't follow your script, claim baiting (only people who can't control THEIR ACTIONS worry about that), etc.

What has been and always be is EVs and the infrastructure that supports them will improve with time. That includes bringing down cost. Happen overnight? No, it will take decades.

Problem is you guys can't take what you give.

That is so true. And the ones that are still allowed to post (I think there are 4) were just as bad on the vulgar side…....the only difference is what they thought was misinformation which has now become true statements. Those guys were so foolish with their “believe science”. What a joke they are now.

You don’t seem to mind if oil and gas workers or auto workers (who help manufacture ICE vehicles) are out of jobs. I call this phoney outrage on your part.
Why would auto workers be out of jobs? Is the EV build process less labour intensive?

@Burkey. Manufacturers and supply chains were already in place to produce ICE vehicles. Obviously a new demand for workers will be needed to support the transition to BEV. This will require training and new expertise
to meet the demands. Who knows whether there will be a net gain or loss in the transition. The experts seem to disagree. Lay offs have already occurred.

https://spectrum.ieee.org/the-ev-transition-explained-2658797703

“By some estimates, upwards of 80,000 auto workers and a similar number in the auto supply chain have already been laid off globally to support the EV transition. For example, Daimler and Audi reportedly have eliminated 20,000 jobs, while auto supplier Bosch will be laying off 1,000 workers in a move to support vehicle electrification.”

”A Boston Consulting Group (BCG) analysis of the European auto industry posits that about 930,000 existing auto manufacturing and supplier jobs will disappear with the introduction of EVS by 2030, but another 895,000 new jobs will be added. So, BCG says, the transition to EVs will basically be a net job wash. The European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA), however, is more pessimistic. It believes that there will be a net loss of 275,000 auto-industry jobs by 2040, with most of the drop-off coming between 2030 and 2035.”

“There are also concerns in Japan, or at least at Toyota, over the potential for job losses from the transition to EVs. Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda has stated that moving solely to battery electric vehicles would “risk losing the majority of 5.5 million jobs” in the Japanese auto industry.”

Hello; I see you did not grasp the concept. This "cheaper" to buy EV is not the example of the EV prices coming down. Rather it is an example of a manufacturer including much less of the most expensive part of an EV. That being the battery pack.
Think of it as bang for the buck or perhaps value for a dollar. Think of it as buying a carton of eggs and finding only six in the carton rather than the normal dozen.

I get the point you tried to make. Too bad this is, so far, the best an EV maker can do. Credible speculation is the cost of raw materials for things such as the batteries will continue to go up as global demand goes up. The increasing demand will be driven by the various mandates pushed by centers of power and influence. An artificial demand but demand none the less.
Perhaps if the recently mentioned vast deposit of lithium in an old volcano can be mined that bottleneck will no longer exist. Then prices might come down.

America has positioned itself to greatly support the American worker through the transition from ICE to EV. This has happened over several decades but ramped up in the last couple of years. Can't get into it because some can't control themselves when politics is brought up (lose their marbles).

Everyday I read about a new factory coming online or new commitments like this: https://www.hyundainews.com/assets/documents/original/57121-HyundaiEIRPressRelease91323FINAL.pdf

Will our workforce have to undergo retraining? Sure, that is a constant anyway. Heck, they will have to retrain when AI and the robots come of age. Cars and technology are mixing in very unpredictable ways. Tesla is leading the charge.

The small peanut gallery looking to derail progress won't find success. Bunch of hot air coming from them, contributing to increased climate change. All jokes aside, change is difficult for some people.

Next 50 to 75 years is going to be exciting.
