That is so true. And the ones that are still allowed to post (I think there are 4) were just as bad on the vulgar side…....the only difference is what they thought was misinformation which has now become true statements. Those guys were so foolish with their “believe science”. What a joke they are now.
Hello; I get it. Those four were often calling names, using putdowns and making out of bounds posts. I will add the then and now will use clearly "political" references you and i would not get away with.
Not long ago one did just that. Posted with clearly banned political content. I used the report button. Only thing that happened I know for sure was the offending post was removed. If a warning was handed out I was not told.

Can't get into it because some can't control themselves when politics is brought up (lose their marbles).
Hello; The politics bit is amusing. I have witnessed the baiting involved in political or religious content. The result of that baiting having resulted in some being kicked out of threads or even off the site.
The last clear example of this happened not long ago. AZlb.0 who started this thread. I sent him private messages warning about the tactic. I think he understood he was being baited but decided to speak his mind and take the consequences. Apart of that whole process that is not clear is why he was the only member punished. That he crossed a line we are not to cross is not in dispute. That some of the baiters also seemed to cross the line and were not punished is the gist of the thing.

A member was not kicked off the site but was kicked out of the science is cancelled thread for using a popular chant first herd at a NASCAR race. I can see he should not have posted that chant, but being kicked out of the thread seems too much. He apologized but such did not make any difference. I suspect it had more to do with his vocal challenging the Covid dogma than what he posted that day.

I was kicked out of the cancelled thread but never told why. I was not vulgar nor breaking any rules. One of you champions posted it was because I used a link of "misinformation". Likely so but my stances during tee covid debacle have been shown to be correct. I am stil off that thread.

The "four" have and will continue to use whatever you can to silence those who disagree with you.

Goodbye; as said 200 times already (why can't you get it?) he was kicked off the site because he is mentally unstable. He really lost it in that thread. Great thing is I never responded to him although he "@" me several times. I ignored him because that is what people who can control themselves do.

Again, people who can't control themselves and attempting to disrupt the thread. Glad you can see the pattern now! That is progress!

it was because I used a link of "misinformation". Likely so but my stances during tee covid debacle have been shown to be correct. I am stil off that thread.
No, you have not shown to be correct. You were incorrect then and incorrect now. The peanut gallery wish they were correct. You didn't win. Facts don't change.

The "four" have and will continue to use whatever you can to silence those who disagree with you.
Negative. That actually is your group. That is why you "like" every outburst in the covid thread. You want it shut down. Why do you want in the original covid thread? You guys champion trolls who attempt to shut down free speech. People like you, angry but soft mitch, k4 and tripMustangPee don't want a discussion.

You have a "science thread", has that been shut down? Hmm... crickets on that I bet. Answer is: NO. Well, the first thread you guys setup was deleted because of all the racist and misinformation remarks in it. And I never even posted in that one. You guys got it deleted yourselves without any help. Remember that????

Accept responsibility for your own actions for a change. Might go a long way at your sentencing.

Hello; Not worth much time. I took the stance natural immunity was as effective or better that the shots. I took the stance masks, the kind we ordinary folks could get, were not effective at stopping the spread of the virus. I took the stance the shots would not prevent infection from the virus as they were first advertised.

Yep, the masks don't work, the jabs don't work, lockdowns don't work.

JT just likes control over people.

Your kind give a crap about American workers. Or Americans in general. Spare me!!!!

You don't care how many people are working in sustainable jobs, the covid situation, etc. You people don't even care about Capital Police, or authority in general.

Go back to posting your silly memes.
You are assuming ALLOT. Might be best if you go crawl back to your science thread and stay there.

America has positioned itself to greatly support the American worker through the transition from ICE to EV. This has happened over several decades but ramped up in the last couple of years. Can't get into it because some can't control themselves when politics is brought up (lose their marbles).

Everyday I read about a new factory coming online or new commitments like this: https://www.hyundainews.com/assets/documents/original/57121-HyundaiEIRPressRelease91323FINAL.pdf

Will our workforce have to undergo retraining? Sure, that is a constant anyway. Heck, they will have to retrain when AI and the robots come of age. Cars and technology are mixing in very unpredictable ways. Tesla is leading the charge.

The small peanut gallery looking to derail progress won't find success. Bunch of hot air coming from them, contributing to increased climate change. All jokes aside, change is difficult for some people.

Next 50 to 75 years is going to be exciting.
40% less labor, reduced auto supplies, reskilled labor. Lost jobs. Net increase/decrease jobs; to be determined.

“An internal combustion engine has more than 1,000 parts, compared with roughly 50 parts in an EV. With fewer parts, EVs require fewer employees to assemble them.

Last year, Farley told the Financial Times that manufacturing EVs requires about 40% less labor than traditional vehicles. Plants making auto parts that would be obsolete in a fully electric U.S. auto fleet, like mufflers and catalytic converters, would have to be repurposed or shuttered.

“If you have to be persuaded, reminded, pressured, lied to, incentivized, coerced, bullied, socially shamed, guilt-tripped, threatened, punished and criminalized... If all of this is considered necessary to gain your compliance -- you can be absolutely certain that what is being promoted is not in your best interest.” - Ian Watson

A police officer was beaten, a rioter was shot, and three others died during the rampage. Jan 6th.

More than 2,000 law enforcement officers were injured in the first weeks of protests over the summer following the police killing of George Floyd, according to a report released in October.

But those were peaceful protests.
It matters what side/team was backing them.
Nothing to see here move along, no point of bringing up facts, to those that only care about "feelings" .
No worries come april/may 2024, it all ramp up again right on cue to keep those asleep checking the "feeling" boxes in November.

@Burkey. Manufacturers and supply chains were already in place to produce ICE vehicles. Obviously a new demand for workers will be needed to support the transition to BEV. This will require training and new expertise
to meet the demands. Who knows whether there will be a net gain or loss in the transition. The experts seem to disagree. Lay offs have already occurred.

https://spectrum.ieee.org/the-ev-transition-explained-2658797703

“By some estimates, upwards of 80,000 auto workers and a similar number in the auto supply chain have already been laid off globally to support the EV transition. For example, Daimler and Audi reportedly have eliminated 20,000 jobs, while auto supplier Bosch will be laying off 1,000 workers in a move to support vehicle electrification.”

”A Boston Consulting Group (BCG) analysis of the European auto industry posits that about 930,000 existing auto manufacturing and supplier jobs will disappear with the introduction of EVS by 2030, but another 895,000 new jobs will be added. So, BCG says, the transition to EVs will basically be a net job wash. The European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA), however, is more pessimistic. It believes that there will be a net loss of 275,000 auto-industry jobs by 2040, with most of the drop-off coming between 2030 and 2035.”

“There are also concerns in Japan, or at least at Toyota, over the potential for job losses from the transition to EVs. Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda has stated that moving solely to battery electric vehicles would “risk losing the majority of 5.5 million jobs” in the Japanese auto industry.”
This ASSUMES A.I. isn't ready for line work by 2030 in factories. kiss those jobs good bye in new factories.

You have no clue.
New factories will use mostly robots, and A.I. not a work force of humans.
Retraining, for what the bread lines. If the a.i. robots can work a line, they can do the repairs, service of the equipment also.
You've been brainwashed and running full steam into HAVING to depend on hand outs, and that is the way they want it, as those that hold the purse hold the control.

Everyone wants to get in the game, but not everyone can be Tesla.

https://www.reuters.com/business/au...als-scrap-thin-slices-us-ev-sales-2023-09-27/

“Sept 27 (Reuters) - Ford Motor's (F.N) decision to hit the brakes on a planned $3.5 billion battery plant in Michigan highlights a challenge for Tesla's growing crowd of rivals in the U.S. market: Tesla is pushing most of them into unprofitable, low-volume niches.”

“On a brand-by-brand basis, Tesla outsold its next 19 competitors by 10 to one or more during the first half, according to S&P Global Mobility data.”

1695850045362.png

“Ford's decision to pause work on a $3.5 billion electric vehicle battery plant in Michigan comes as some analysts question whether the U.S. EV market will grow fast enough to support all the new battery and assembly operations launched or under construction.

In July, Ford forecast a full-year loss of $4.5 billion on its EV unit - 50% higher than projected earlier this year - and said it was slowing its EV production ramp up.”
