Hello; Many understood the fear mongering which became the official edicts used during the Covid mandates and lockdowns. Some tried to point out the glairing absurdities and problems with the edicts. Many were shouted down. Some, such as I, were kicked out of a Covid discussion thread for pointing out the problems and presenting explanations as to why the problems were problems. I and others have since been proven correct in our stances. An interesting and troubling double standard is applied to the acceptability of individual actions and those of political agents. An individual declaring an emergency when none exists, e.g., shouting "fire" in a crowded cinema, would lead to rightful punishment, yet public officials can do so without attracting the same scrutiny.
Most recently, governments around the world have found that frightening their citizens would induce them to accept, even applaud, repressive policies in exchange for the promise that individual citizens would be shielded from a single virus. The loss of rights and freedom in response to the fear conjured up during the COVID-19 pandemic is a harbinger of what will be claimed as necessary to avert the existential threat to humanity from extreme weather and changing climate.
Even tho the stance I and others took has proven to have been correct we continue to be banned from that particular thread discussion. Several of those who remain currently active on that thread were in fact strong advocates of those official edicts which have proven to have been inaccurate stances which surrounded the Covid pandemic period.
It is not ironic that several of the same pro Covid edict champions are now champions for the global warming/climate change/ anti fossil fuel agendas. It seems that neither covid nor global warming are the actual basis of these folks. Should the global carbon crisis agenda be shown to not be the crisis it is hyped up to be, then I figure the same group will have a new and different crisis to use to fear monger with.
I figure such will not happen soon as this particular "crisis" has a clever segment imbeded. That being a twofold future timeline. One of the timeline features is that no matter what happens now, by their models, there will not be any benefits for at least 50 years.
Put another way, no matter how many sacrifices or suffering we are forced to endure under their plans now, the payoff is decades from now.
The other part of the future timeline is in essence the other side of the same coin. The payoff is decades away so no matter how badly they screw things up now, they will not have to answer for a few decades.
Enough for now. There is more to be said but enough for today.
